Short-Term Running Goals:

I would like to run an Olympic Trials Qualifier in the marathon.

I would also like to run on one more international team before I pack it in!

 Stay healthy!  (My biggest challenge!)

Long-Term Running Goals:

Run my whole life, and then live vicariously through my children. (just kidding) , but I do want to pass on a healthy lifestyle to them.

Help coach East High to a state championship. (hope it doesn't take a lifetime!)

Personal:

I've been running since I was nine.  I'm married to a fellow runner who inspires and supports me.  We have two children:  Cole (4) and Lily (18 mos.)  I help Bill Cobler coach cross country at East High School.

Around 8 miles I think.  2.25 warmup.  2 x 1.5 miles.  Three minute jog in between.  Then I ran 5 x 300 meters all out with Wolfpack kids.  Cooldown two laps on grass and then a jog home.  9:42, 9:38 for 1.5 miles. 61-62 for first four 300s. 56 on last one.  That hurt.

Not quite as beat up as I thought I would be.  A little mental and emotional therapy on my run today, exploring my need to be seen and validated.  (I'm waiting for casting and it always messes with my head.  I'm trying to fix that.)

Threw on the heavy metal and Eminem and pounded out my frustrations.  It felt good.

Really good consistent May. Only 106 miles to my goal.  Feeling much better physically. Not performing does wonders for my physical health.

2.5. mile warm up.  10 laps of hard/easy on the track.  1.6 cooldown. Goal is to finish getting my classroom cleaned up and locked up for the summer.

Wrote my mental treatise on body image and inclusivity in theatre during my run. It was productive.

Only time for a short run today.  The kids have to be at a track meet by 7:30.  So, long run on Monday.  Hoping to increase to 50 next week
