Short-Term Running Goals:

I would like to run an Olympic Trials Qualifier in the marathon.

I would also like to run on one more international team before I pack it in!

 Stay healthy!  (My biggest challenge!)

Long-Term Running Goals:

Run my whole life, and then live vicariously through my children. (just kidding) , but I do want to pass on a healthy lifestyle to them.

Help coach East High to a state championship. (hope it doesn't take a lifetime!)

Personal:

I've been running since I was nine.  I'm married to a fellow runner who inspires and supports me.  We have two children:  Cole (4) and Lily (18 mos.)  I help Bill Cobler coach cross country at East High School.

5.5 with Cole. The rest on my own in the late afternoon.  Yay for shorts!

Planned on longer today, but used Spring Break to take Cole to do a track workout.  Warmed up 10 minutes to the track.  Had to hop the fence, which was exciting.  Ran 4 x200. I ran a 160-1200-800-400 breakdown at 90s, 88, 86, and 84. It was really windy this morning, which didn’t help pacing. I had Cole run 1200-800-400-400.

1600/1200: 6:00/4:30

1200/800: 3:24/2:54

800/400; 2:50/84

400: 79.7

Cooled down 1.25 home.  Good rust buster for Cole (and for me.)  Race Cats starts April 8!

Windy dark run with Tee and May. I’m tired.

Easy recovery run. I was really tired yesterday, so kept it short this morning.  But, back to back harder efforts for Friday and Saturday. 7:13 average.

No excuse.  It was cold. I got lazy.
