Tough run tonight, not because of the pace or the route so much, but because of the blasted heat! I left the house at 4:30 pm and did 10 miles out along the 600 North Trail to Sky Mountain Golf Course then a mile through Sky Mountain, then turned around and came back. I did this route, because I knew there would be water and I needed plenty of it. Maybe, I'll wise up and try to get going better in the morning. I don't get much support from my family when I try to go on a run at night, yet I also get in trouble if I stay home and try to run on the treadmill.

Easy 5 this morning, legs a little sore from yesterday Big difference between my 10 mile run tonight and the one I did
yesterday afternoon. The main factor was the temperature. I went out
tonight at 8:30 after the sun had gone down, I really don't prefer
running on the road in the dark, but had to do it tonight. Did an out
and back to Toquerville. Going out was just over 40 minutes 8:08 pace,
coming back was 37:11 7:25 pace, which included a few times jumping off
the road into the ditch to avoid becoming roadkill. I was pretty happy
with the run tonight. I need to get in a speed session this week but my
body has been disagreeing with me. Nimbus-335.5

3 miles around Worthen Park and downtown St. George, then 2 more miles from the Running Store before running with the club. The club run was good, we did loops around the course near the store, ran a total of 6 miles. The temperature was nice and it felt good to run on grass, brought back some memories of running cross country races on golf courses. Cumulus-150.5 |

Had trouble getting out of bed this morning, but managed to make it over to play basketball for an hour. Easy 4.5 miles this morning down through Confluence Park, my hips were really hurting so the run was very slow. I think I'm probably a little sore from the speed workout last night. Nimbus-339.5 |
