No run today, still feeling some of the stomach sickness from the weekend.  I'll try to get in a few miles tomorrow night.

If only my running was going as good as my sleep time.

Made it out to basketball this morning, so that was good to at least get out of bed. I shouldn't be as busy after school today, so I'm planning on running between 4 to 6 miles.

Ran from the La Verkin Overlook, down the twist into La Verkin past the city park and then home 5.5 easy 7:25 avg.  I did this route because La Verkin City is wanting to host a road race Easter Weekend.  The plan they want is to do a 10K (out 3.1 miles and back) starting at the city park running up the "twist" state road heading toward Zion.  However, I think a 5K or a 4 mile race might be more appealing.  Especially if you dropped people off up at the top and just let them run downhill, that would have the potential of being a very fast 5K.  However, I actually like the idea of running a 4 mile race, which would actually have people starting at the very top of the La Verkin Overlook.  In my opinion it would be kind of a cool place to hang out and stretch before the race, being able to look over much of valley below.  Anyway, if anybody reading this blog has any ideas please let me know.

Also today was the last run in my orange Asics Nimbus, they now have over 400 miles and have been a lot better shoe than I thought they were going to be.  At first, I hated them (they seemed too heavy), but over time I actually found them to be pretty comfortable and a good training shoe.

Pretty good run with the club. We had a large turnout tonight and some good conversations. Ran the first 5 miles at an average of 7:12, then the last two up Sunset a little slower. Still having quite a bit of hip pain, but tomorrow night is the night of pain with Steve Starley and my first deep tissue massage. If I don't survive it was nice knowing all of you! Even the Wildbull!

Did an ok 10 miler after work. Ran out on 600 North trail, stopped at the #13 hole for water, then headed over to the state road back into Hurricane and home. I didn't feel real great during the run, but was glad to get in the miles.

Well, I survived the deep tissue massage with Steve. It actually felt really good and I think he was able to get a lot of the tight spots out. My IT band was really tight, which has probably been causing the pain in the hips and groin. Anyway, I'm interested to see how I feel the next few days.

I don't think I will be at the club run tomorrow and I'm actually thinking of only doing the 5K race instead of the half next week for Painter's. I just don't feel ready or in shape to run a decent half right now. Maybe I can run the 5K and then pace some people the last few miles.

Ran 4 easy miles out to Hurricane Intermediate to watch Jordan's basketball game. The hips and legs seem to feel a little better now that I had a massage. I think one of the keys for me, will be to develop better stretching habits. I hit 30 miles this week, which was better than last week, but I still would like to build up to around 50 for a few weeks and then 60's and 70's in preparation for the Ogden Marathon. We'll just have to see how things go.
