4 miles this morning. Good workout tonight which was something I've been needing. Decided to warm-up from my house to Hurricane High School 2.5 miles, then did some dynamic stretching then 6x800m with one lap recovery between each. The last time I did a workout like this was Sept 18 a few weeks before the marathon. Anyway the times today on average were faster which was encouraging.

1- 2:43 decent pace for the first one

2- 2:39 maybe a little quick

3- 2:43 discouraging the football field sprinklers came on and about 3 of them were shooting right out into lane 1 and 2 of the track, even had to dodge out to lane 4 a few times to miss the cold water. The sprinklers would have been welcomed if it would have been in July or August, but a little too cool this evening to be running through water.

4-2:42 good repeat, but struggling a little, decided on the last lap just to run through the water.

5-2:36 feeling good on this repeat, the sprinklers finally shut off, so I coud focus on lane 1.

6-2:37 really tried to run faster than 2:36, but came up a bit short, still happy I was a little stronger at the end of the workout. I feel good when I can finish with a couple of good splits.

Did a 2.5 cool-down back to my house in La Verkin. Decided to run back past the Hurricane City Park, just for a change.
