Personal:

I retired from the Army after 26 years of service in 2010.  I moved home to Arizona.  My wife and I are empty nesters.  In 2016 I had stents placed in my heart after discovering coronary artery disease.  Since early 2016 I have lost 30 lbs and got in much better shape.  August 2017 I retired again. We served a mission to Mexico from October 2017 until April 2019.

ran slow today on purpose.  I was on my feet all day yesterday with the movers here and so many things to do.

at the turn around point I was at 24:46.  On the way back I ran 10 x 15 sec striders with 45 seconds active recovery in between for a total running time of 47:52.

today is the last day for the packers.  the truck driver is going to load part of the truck today too.

Hey. Are you Jeff's dad? Did you recently move to Gilbert? I've been trying to read back thru your recent posts to figure it out. There's talk about WA. I'm not sure if you just moved from there or if you're packing up to move to there or none of the above. Anyway, if you're here in AZ, I'm trying to get all the local bloggers together for a short 5 mile run on Saturday. Let me know if you're up to it.

I am JeffMc's dad. There is a JeffAZ that is not related. We are moving to Gilbert on Monday. I am retiring from the Army after 26 years. I am definitley interested in something like this in the future although I am fairly slow these days.

That's what I thought. I also thought you lived in Hawaii. Did you for a while? Anyway, we'll definitely get together for some runs. Not sure what part of Gilbert you're moving to, but I'm not to far away as I live in between Southern and Broadway in Mesa. I'm thinking about joining the East Valley Runners.

not in Hawaii. Just ran a 5k there as part of a military pediatric meeting that I attended. we are just off higley and south of guadalupe. My parents live near Gilbert and University. My in-laws in the same area. this is coming home for us. look forward to meeting you.
