Well not what I was hoping for. A lot harder on me than I thought. This week sucked but I still went. Got called from work on Friday night and got yelled at for being at the race. I really would like to fire that person. Stressed out and no sleep, so all in all I will take the time I ran. I was going great until mile 19 then my mental side lost it. I gave back all the time in the last 6 miles or so. I had held pace and every time I started running again I was back up to MP but I had absolutely no drive to run. I can't say I even gassed or hit the wall just didn't have it upstairs. It was good to see Jeff at the finish and talk with him.

Just me, my dog and the rain this morning. Really more therapeutic than anything else. I need days like these right now. Work until 11:00 last night and left this morning for work at 7:00. It is going to be a long rebuilding process but running just might keep me sane through all of it. Legs hurt the first mile but after I loosened up it felt good to run again. Quads are still tight but the rest of my body seems to be recovering fine.

Probably ran a little too intense today. Started at a 7:30 and progressed down to a 6:40. It was work but my legs are coming back, not that I could hold it for much longer. Heart rate was ok and didn't really have any pain in my legs but it was a good work out.

Easy morning run with Nikki. Hoping to get in a longer run at lunch. I need it, I'm wound pretty tight because of work this morning. 6.5 Miles

Afternoon run felt good, legs a little soft. I not real surprised running doubles like this. I decided to go for a longer lunch and thus longer run. Pace was ok ran 10.6 miles in 1:17. It was really windy but I sure feel better and more calm. Maybe getting my miles back up will help me sleep at night. I haven't been sleeping at all and yesterday I felt sick when I got up so that's why I skipped.

Signed up at Anytime fitness today so I have a place to shower while the building is being built. Now I can run all winter on a treadmill when it's nasty by the shop at lunch.

Me and the dog. Day off so I was able to sleep in a little and run early morning. Great cool weather and breeze, just can not beat this to run in. Calves are a little tight from yesterday but I was still able to run a good pace. Starting to run hills again after the break before St George, I can tell I don't have the same get up in my legs on them as before and I am still waiting for that pre race feeling to come back. I guess it takes a little while.

I'm enjoying running so much more right now. I can get away and meditate and it is doing so much good to just be able to think about life and what's going on without any real distractions. It is bring more fullness to my life I just have to be careful and keep it in balance, as I'm famous for being a little to obsesive about things.

Great afternoon run. I think I could get used to these noon hour runs durning the fall and winter. Started out at a 6:55 and progressed down to a 6:34 for an overall pace of 6:50. Legs felt great and held pace just fine. I think I can finally say that my legs are back to normal. These no pressure runs are fun. I'm now just trying to decide what the race schedule is going to be like.

4 Easy miles this morning with Nikki. Beautiful morning, full moon and no wind, temp just right. Nikki ran really well. Glad I had a good time to talk with her this morning. I'll get some more miles in at lunch hopefully.

Looks like lawyers and accountants took up my lunch time run....

Over slept and missed the group run. So I grabbed my dog and did a medium long run. Warmed up for two miles around a 7:30 pace and then dropped to around a 6:40 pace for the rest of the run. Nothing like the feel of the slight sting of your lungs to start off the day. Legs felt great. My left hamstring is a little soft but nothing to worry about. I'm feeling these last few runs in my butt a little bit more than I'm used to but It doesn't hurt just soft.

Sorry I missed the group, I normally don't sleep like that.

Afternoon jog to clear my head after I spoke with the insurance company, settled me down and then as soon as I got back I was on the phone with them again. I can tell it is going to be a long fall/winter/spring with some long runs. At least I'll be healthy and in shape..oh and a little less stressed.

Progression run. Started at around 6:55 dropped to MP 6:40 and then down to 6:30. Had some GI problems right in the middle of the run, not fun. Good work out on a great afternoon. Two in a row that doesn't happen too often.

Hilly run with Nikki on a day off. This was more of a recovery type run for me and a little bit of a push for her. It was good to just get out and talk and enjoy each other this morning.

7.31 miles in 49min on a TM. I'm in a really bad mood for no apparent reason today. It is a beautiful day and I chose to run inside. Just not really feeling anything but bad today.

Beautiful morning run with my wife. A little tough getting up but today was just a perfect morning. Nice and easy recovery run 5.01.

Great afternoon run. I can't believe the weather we are getting right now. It is an awesome fall. Much more sublime day. Enjoyed running. 8.25

Great morning run with Jeff. Nice relaxed pace and great conversation. Body is feeling good and holding up after jumping mileage back up. I was a little worried going a little longer this morning after I ran doubles yesterday but my legs felt good. They were a little slow getting started when I stopped and felt a little heavy but it went away after a few hundred yards.

Early morning run with Nikki. Trying to get her ready for Just Cuz 1/2 but she had some serious GI issues the whole run. I'm not so sure she even got anything out of this one, I sure didn't, a lot of stopping and walking just to get her home. 6.5

Afternoon TM workout due to the wind I stayed inside and did a progression run. Warm up 1 mile 6:58,  2-6:39, 3-6:39, 4-6:28, 5-6:28, 6-6:15, 7-5:55.

Easy run this afternoon. Cool weather was a bit tricky seemed like I was underdressed, overdressed and underdressed, just depended on how the wind was hitting me. Had a rogue dog join me for about 8 miles. This was great because everyone thought it was mine when he ran out in front of them and held up traffic. Is all I could do was shrug and ignore him. I hope he made it back home, as I picked him up two miles into the run.

Started out as a nice easy run and somehow it turned into a tempo run. I'm really enjoying not having any type of a schedule, I can just run how far and how fast I feel like each day without any pressure. Simply an amazing feeling. Beautiful morning, although a bit chilly.

This was yesterday's plan it just happened today. Ran a relaxed pace, medium distance run. Got the new shoes today so I broke them in. I could tell they had a little less support than my adrenalines but felt good for the distance and should be fine for longer runs.

No school and Jonah got up early so I coaxed him out for a short run. It was fun talking with him this morning. I tried to talk him into running cross country in middle school next year. He didn't think 3K would be too bad. We'll see.

Afternoon run surprised me a bit, I was honestly pretty wasted from yesterday. So I went out and hit MP pretty fast and kept cruising. 8.19 mile tempo run 53:12/6:33, last mile 6:25. Felt good throughout and feeling better now than I did after yesterday's slower/longer run.

Shoes felt a lot better today. They really gave me better support than I thought. Maybe yesterday I was just in a funk.

Fought this run this morning. I wasn't right, probably because I didn't sleep last night. My stomach, quads, calves, shoulders, neck, head...everything is just..not right. I'll take off tomorrow and hopefully get back. It was good to run with a group probably the only thing that got me moving today.

Did a tempo run with Nikki, getting her ready for Just Cuz. She did really good this morning and I hope she has a good run on Saturday.

Finally decided to sign up for some spring races. It has been up in the air with my daughters dance and trying to work around it. Signed up for the Ogden Half Marathon and will use it as a training run and to see how I'm doing for the Utah Valley Marathon. Now that I've signed up I can figure out a schedule and get to work.

Planned on going to the gym to do a TM workout, if I would've had better clothing probably would've went outside. 1-6:57, 2-6:27, 3-6:27, 4-6:18, 5-6:18, 6-5:55, 7-5:50  44:20/6:20. I would really like to get my turn over better so I might throw some shorter, faster bursts into my weekly workout. Overall felt good, was able to step up pace each time without much more effort.
