6-up the canyon. Felt terrible at first, then later felt better. Leg had been hurting 'cause I had a soccer game today and yesterday, and I just slammed into someone with a part of my leg, and it takes a long time to stretch it back out now.

5 miles - Smithfield canyon. Rainy. wore a shirt that was a bit too big, and when it got soaked after the 1st mile it felt like it was makeing me go a lot slower. Wanted to take it off, but is was cold so I didn't. At the start of mile 4 my knee started hurting for about 2 or 3 hundred meters. Felt best, surprisingly, at the end of it. That never ever happens for me.

Ran 5 miles -- Smithfield Canyon. Ran 1 mile for partly downhill and tried to get a new PR for a mile. Did it, but it was only by a second. Then after that took a half minute or minute breather, then finished my run at probably a 6 minute or a 6:10 pace. felt good, but kinda pushed it more than I should have before the race on Saturday. | Comments(2) |
| | 2.5 -- XC practice. I'm not 100 % about how far it is. Was going to run more, but after I had my soccer practice I was completely tired out. | Add Comment |

Health Days Conquer the Canyon (6.2 Miles) 00:35:04, Place overall: 1, Place in age division: 1 | | Nice run up the canyon. averaged around 6 min to 6 min 10 sec. min. miles. At the turn around I saw the candy on the table. I was kinda tempted to grab some, but I knew it would only make the race worse. Later on the last 3.2 I think I averaged around a 5:30. Saw a lot of people I knew who were running it after the turn around. Saw a lot of people I knew after the race also. Steve Anderson pushed me. I kept thinking he might be getting closer, so I would try running faster. | Comments(3) |

| | Ran to Sky View (2.2). it was really wet and cold. My dad picked me up before I went running any more outside. Later he drove me to Sky View again. and I ran 3 miles. It felt nice to run at Sky View for a while. It was a bit warm, but for some reason, I really loved running in that heat. | Add Comment |
| | Up Smithfield Canyon. Averaged 6 minute miles. At in between mile 3 and 4 I had a small stomache ache. Felt good after a minute or two. Had a good run after that. | Add Comment |
| | Ran up Smithfield Canyon. First long(er than 6.2 miles) for the training for Utah Valley half Marathon. Only 3 weeks. | Add Comment |
| | Went to Montana/Yellowstone for a school trip. Didn't want to miss a day of running, especially when the utah valley half marathon being in less than 3 weeks. Ran at night for 30 min., which I guess if my pace was 6 min. miles or shorter(which it felt like it was) that I would run 5 miles. Took a while for the teachers to let me run outside by myself, but at 8:20 they let me. It was a good run in a really small town, which I might add had probably a thousand asain tourists, where I had my friends cheering me when they saw me running. It was pretty fun. | Add Comment |
| | Ran 6 miles after the long bus ride home from yellowstone. Felt good to actually move instead of being in a bus with 50 yelling kids your age. Felt fast, but didn't time it. | Add Comment |
| | Just ran 5 miles up Smithfield Canyon. Didn't want to at first, but it felt good. | Add Comment |
| | Had to get a longer run in before Utah Valley. Just two weeks until it, and I'm started to get excited. Averaged 6:10 going up Smithfield Canyon, and around 5:45 on the way down. Overall averaged 5:57. Had a good run down, didn't feel that good the first mile. I'm surprised about my last mile I got 6 minutes while gaining a lot of elevation. I usually run that mile in 6:30 on 5 mile runs, so I felt pretty good and pushed it pretty hard. I think I saw Paul Peterson somewhere up the canyon while running. | Add Comment |
| | Didn't feel that good during it, but happy I went. It started hailing around my turn around point and for a few minutes the hail hurt. Rained a lot. It was pretty cold. I'm happy now that the Utah Valley is coming up. I'm so excited. | Add Comment |
