| | I think it was 5. It was a XC thing that was kinda challanging. We ran at 6 in the morning and went up this road, which had a very big up hill, and then we went back down to the school. After Mr. Storrs gave us some donughts and orange juice, which made the run worth the uphill. | Add Comment |

I usually don't run on a Friday, but I had forgotten to run yesterday and I wanted to hang out with friends, so instead I ran my long run today and am maybe going to run tomorrow for my Thursday run.
I ran up Smithfield Canyon all the way until I saw the road gate that stopped me. I was only planning on 10 a few days ago, but yesterday I thought I should do 11. I pushed the run harder than I usually would have pushed a run like this. I ran up the canyon in around a 6:06 pace, and I averaged (over the whole course of there and back) a 5:55 pace. I used my Dad's garmin to see the pace.
I saw a lot of people there that agreed with me that it was great weather, because they were running outside too. Now that I'm finished with it I will probably start tapering for Utah-Valley Half Marathon in a week and a day. | Add Comment |
| | Ran up Smithfield Canyon to my usual turn around point. Saw Hayden and talked to him for a bit. I felt really good until the last mile. I didn't feel all the way there, like I was somewhere else, but I don't know. I can't remember it that well. Weird. | Add Comment |

Fun race. Kind of tough at first but then got into it. Ran a PR. Stayed until Paul Peterson came in on the full marathon and talked to him and a few others after the race. | Comments(6) |

Was at Lake Powell with the the young men in our ward. The last few days I was sore from the half marathon. I felt better today so I thought it would be good to go for a run. It felt good to run, but it was very hot even if it was in the morning. At the middle of the day it was 89 degrees in the shade. I saw a lot of rabbits I counted 12, ten cottontails and two jack rabbits. They were mostly all alive :-). It felt good to run again.

| | Ran today again at Lake Powell. It felt good, but felt harder than yesterday's run. Hotter than yesterday because I ran later in the day. | Add Comment |

Had a good run for the first 4 miles. After that I started getting dehydrated and I felt a little weak, (probably because I didn't have dinner yesterday or breakfast today.) I ran a little later. I saw my dad a little before my turn around point and later caught up to him. I also saw Paul running up the canyon when I was running down. At my last mile I stopped to take a break--I had a small stomach ache, was dehyrdrated, and my calfes were a little beat up. When my dad caught up, I ran a little with him to start up again and later speed back up.

| | Ran with the XC team. Ran with Dylan for most of it. He pushed me a ton. I'm glad I ran with him because I didn't know the course. We also ran an extra mile to a place I have only been to a very few times. Later we ran 400 meters for a sprint. I felt great during it, and got a time that I didn't think I could get...

| | I was going to take it easy, and start running 5 days a week now. Forgot I was taking it easy after the first half mile and just ran it as fast as I usually run my runs. | Add Comment |
| | Ran with the XC team. Just ran with a bunch of different people. Slower, so it felt good. | Add Comment |
| | Did a quarter mile swimming with only legs. I wasn't going to do any workouts today, but thought I should do some cross training. | Add Comment |
| | XC- Ran from SV to this hilly trail. Ran up to the turn around spot twice from the start of it. Ran for a little up another little trail after that, Then ran back to Sky View. I'm just guessing with the distance. | Add Comment |
| | Ran up the canyon. Had water at mile 5. Went slower than I wanted to go, probably because I ran yesterday. I'm just getting ready for the 15k on the 4th of July. I feel ready for it, but I don't know if I'll get the time I would like to get. | Comments(2) |
| | XC- We ran three miles, then did sprints on the track. 30 yards sprint 70 walk. I didn't feel like I was pushing it that much, except on the sprints. | Add Comment |
| | Felt like I was going, fast, but I wasn't sore at all after, so I don't know if I pushed like I supposed to. | Add Comment |
