First 4 mile run this summer. |
| | It felt really good. the pace was solid and it was an overall good workout. | |
| | Today was a bare foot run and I had a cut on my foot so the run was kindof painful, but at the same time it felt great. | |
| |
It was a really fun run, but too many fences to jump. :)
| |
Felt really good, but it was hot because i didnt go running until 9:30ish. |
| | The pace was really solid, but i really hate running in the sand. | |
| |
It was awesome. I am finally getting used to the higher mileage again. |
| | The pace was really solid. We did the mile loop by Maverik and we did a faster pace every lap. | |
| | I feel kind of like a wimp because we have been running 4 and 5 miles, but I would rather run 3 miles on grass and barefoot than run 4 or 5 miles on grass and barefoot. | |
| | It was a great run, next week I will be at AP camp and it will be a good opportunity to do some high altitude training. |
| | It was actually a very fun run. we ran on the Hells Hole trail head. I will be gone the rest of the week so I will keep track of my runs this week and get back. | |
| |
It was awesome. we did the dirt mile loop. |
| |
Today was great. We ran 3 miles in the morning and then in the afternoon I participated in a triathlon and ran one mile for my race and ran another mile with Devon on the way back to the docks at the reservoir. |
| | Today it felt really good to be back to run with my entire team. | |
| | Today was a great 5 mile run. after we did our 5 mile run we did a mile of striders. it felt great. | |
| |
It was a great run. My pace was strong and I held it throughout the whole run.
P.S.
Sorry I didnt make it to practice Coach Holt. I will see you on Tuesday.
| |
it was good. it felt good to not get up at seven, instead I got up and went running at 7:30. |
| | We were only supposed to do 5 miles today, but we went over so I did 6 instead of 5. |
| |
Today we did a 6 mile run with a mile of striders so it all totals up to be 7 miles. |
| | Today we did a barefoot run, the grass was wet so it kept my feet cool. | |
| | We ran in the Washington Fields today. It feels good to change it up a little bit. |
| | Today we ran on the Hell Hole trail. I decided while I was running that Hells Hole was a good name for that run because it was a painful run, but there was also like three hills we had to run up. And then on top of that we had to do striders when we got back. I did not feel good after this run today. | |
| | Todays run was awesome. In the morning we ran 5 miles at the dirt mile, thank Heavens it was our last time doing that. And then in the afternoon today we lifted weights and ran 3 more miles. it actually wasnt as bad as I thought it would be. | |
| | Today we ran into green springs and did a loop. it was a great run, plus striders |
| |
it was a nice switch up today to do 3 miles plus we did barefoot. |
| | today, like every friday, we ran in a different spot. todays run was at Vernon Worthen Park in the middle of the city. I am not sure that I liked running in the city, there are too many blocks. | |
| |
Todays run was surprisingly a really nice run despite the fact that we ran 7 miles and 2 of those miles were at a tempo pace. |
| | Today we did hills on the Hells Hole trail. |
| | Today we ran a nice 3 mile barefoot run, it was nice and refreshing. |
| |
Today we did hills AGAIN!

| |
Today we ran 5 miles in the morning and our usual 3 miles in the afternoon. |
| |
Today was our final run of the PVXC High Altitude Camp 2011. It was pretty enjoyable since the road was flat most of the way.
| |
Today was our long run. We ran to the Washington Fields and ended up turning around in the Pine View Estates. |
| | Today we ran 4 miles in the morning and I ran 3 on my own. |
| | Today we ran 6 and did an insane hill workout. |
| |
We did a nice barefoot run today with striders. |
| | Today was a great workout. I hit times that I have never hit before. It was awesome |
| | It was a great run into the Washington Fields. Didnt feel so great when I got back but it was a great workout! :) | |
| | Today we ran 4 miles into Green Springs to the house with the big white pillars. And then in the afternoon we ran in the miserable heat fo just 3 miles and we did weights after we ran the 3 miles. |

Cedar All Comers (3.1 Miles) 00:17:26, Place overall: 15
Today we did 3 miles in the morning and then at 3:45ish we headed for Cedar High School for the Cedar All Comers XC Meet. We ran 3 miles for the warm-up then we did the race, which was 3.1 miles then we did like a mile for the cool down. I really felt like I have improved since last season and that all of the extra running that I have done has definately paid off. I set my goal at the beginning of the summer to be 17:30, now I have to set a new goal since my time today was 17:26. I think my goal will be 16:30 now. I also hope to run a few varsity races.
| | Today we ran 4 miles + striders and we stopped at the 2450 East Park to do some barefoot running. Then in the after noon we are going to run what might be this years region course. |
| |
Today we ran a 7 mile run which included a few Fire Station Hills. |
| | Well, today was the first day of school and i was looking forward to a nice easy run after school, unfortunately, it wasnt the nice and easy run that I hoped for. We went around Foremaster Ridge and the only good art about this run was that we stopped at the river and cooled off. The water felt amazing. |
| |
Today was a great run. We also did a 2 mile time trial. |
| | Today was 1000s. It was very hot. |
| Race: |
Hurricane (3 Miles) 00:18:07, Place overall: 2 | | It was a great race today! |
| | Today we did a good run to the Washington Fields and on the way back we stopped at the river for a relief from the killer heat. I also ran 3 miles in the morning. |

| |
Today we did 1 mile intervals and 4x200 meter repeats to follow + 3 miles in the morning.
|

| | Today was a nice and easy run. |
| | Today we did 4 1000s and an easy run in the morning. |
| | Today we did a workout on the track. It was also one of our cooler days as far as temperature wise. There was also a pretty nice breeze so it was a good day to do a hard workout. |
| |
I didnt run today because I was sick. :( |
| | Today we went to the Bloomington Hills North Park. We also have our 12 hr Runathon tonight so that should be fun. |
| | Today we finished up our runathon. We ran all through the night to rack up as many miles as many we could. |
| | Today all of the Varsity Boys went running today with a 20 minute tempo. It was a good workout. | |
| | Today we went and did a good hard workout at Dixie High School while JV did the race. |
| | Today was a nice run with striders at the end. |
| | Today we did a good 3 mile easy run. just waiting for coach to tell me I can start doing Varsity workouts. we also did 4x200 because we have a race tomorrow. |
| Race: |
Pre Region (3 Miles) 00:18:58, Place overall: 8
Did about 3ish miles today at the race, well, it wasnt really a race it was mostly a time trial. |
| | Sorry, it has been a really long time since I have updated my blog. Today we ran an easy 5 miles to Silver Stone 2 in Green Springs. Today was also the last day of our moring practices for a while. It gets tiring but it is worth it when you become a Varsity runner and you improve all the time. I promise for those that are reading this blog and wondering if you should run more, you should really run more! Because I promise that the HARD WORK that you do will pay off and that everybody will recognize it. :) Remember HARD WORK will pay off when your passing people and you can say to them, "See you at the finish line!" , and you totally kick thier trash! | |
