Well, today felt pretty good until about mile 5.5 Then my right IT band started to get stiff and I could feel it in the outer portion of my knee. I have had IT band problems before, but it has been a few years and I had to take some serious time off to let it heal up...I don't want this to start again!
I stopped and stretched a couple of times before it got too painful to continue and that allowed me to finish my shortened run. I hope this doesn't continue!
The car said my route was 8.9miles and I did it in 1:04:40. I don't think the distance is very accurate because that would mean I was running close to a 7:15 avg and it didn't feel that difficult. I can't wait to get the GPS again... |
