Pretty new. Have done some training for specific Army competitions which have got me running a pretty decent amount, but by no means incredible.

Sub 19:00 5k

Run one marathon within the next 12 months

Stay healthy this year. Coming off of a bad shin splint which took about 3-4 months to fully recover.

Build back up to 60+ miles a week

Long-Term Running Goals:

Finish a marathon sub 3:00:00 

Personal:

A CPT in the US Army stationed at Fort Benning, GA. I've three wonderful kids and the best wife I could ask for. Been away from the running scene for a while, and I sure miss it. Trying to make a comeback!

Another good run. Got a little farther today in 32min. I think i am starting to get a bit more accustomed to the elevation here. Although the last mile I am usually breathing pretty hard.

I have taken the leap of faith and registered for my first marathon. It is the Rome marathon in the end of March. A few hours drive from our house and we are deciding to make a little family vacation of it through marathontours.com. Should be fun, now I really have something to work towards!

Good luck in your marathon training! I registered for my first as well in October. I've got some nervous anticipation going on.
