Pretty new. Have done some training for specific Army competitions which have got me running a pretty decent amount, but by no means incredible.

Sub 19:00 5k

Run one marathon within the next 12 months

Stay healthy this year. Coming off of a bad shin splint which took about 3-4 months to fully recover.

Build back up to 60+ miles a week

Long-Term Running Goals:

Finish a marathon sub 3:00:00 

Personal:

A CPT in the US Army stationed at Fort Benning, GA. I've three wonderful kids and the best wife I could ask for. Been away from the running scene for a while, and I sure miss it. Trying to make a comeback!

Knee started hurting again, so I just went a mile then into the gym on a stationary bike. Did 7 miles on that in just about 30 min. Hopefully tomorrow the knee will feel better and weather will be warmer.

A good run today. Did some tempo stuff, but it wasn't anything amazing. The tempos were fairly short, somewhere between 250m to 450m or so, with about as much rest. Nothing scientific or numbers oriented about it.

Another nice long run and the knee wasn't hurting at all. Pace was a little slow, but we had a pretty big hill. All and all it was a good time.

A good longer run today. I felt pretty good except for our .50 mile hill. At one point I was able to stary jogging up the whole thing, but now I have to stop and walk a portion of it. It is a pretty intense uphill portion.

Ran today with our BDE XO. It was more of a mentorship run since he has been a Company Commander for the unit that I will be going to. I wanted to hit him up on some quesions regarding the unit and what to expect. It was a decent run.

Had an enjoyable run on the treadmill at the gym today. Haven't been on a treadmill for a while and this was a good reason to keep using the treadmill every so often. I like being able to set it at a speed that I know is accurate and one that I want to hit. Ended up running just a bit slower than a 7:30 pace.
