| Easy run + level 2 Shred. 7:20 am, 62° F, 81% humidity, winds calm. First of all, I want to thank everyone for their kind and supportive comments on my blog last Saturday. They really meant a lot to me. I was quite sore after my run last Saturday and my right foot and left knee were really hurting all day on Sunday, so I decided not to run on Monday. I was going to run on Tuesday morning, but all of my shorts were in the washing machine. But this morning I had no excuses. I'm taking the day off from work to go to a Rockies baseball game with my husband and third son this afternoon, so I could sleep in a bit and still run this morning. My foot hurt a bit throughout the run and my knee starting hurting a little towards the end, but neither of them hurt enough to change my gait. I just have to say, that third circuit of the level 2 Shred is tough. It always makes me sweat a bunch. AP: 9:44. Splits: 10:14, 10:07, 9:47, 9:26, 9:40, 9:31, 0.50 @ 9:10.

| Easy run. 6:55 am, 58° F, 77%, winds calm. I took a vacation from worry and stress yesterday, but woke up this morning with them staring me straight in the face. I had a hard time getting out for a run, but finally decided that short run was better than nothing and figured that maybe the run would make me feel a little bit better, which it did. The start of the school year is always stressful, particularly for the teacher in my family. It's also a financial drain with fees, school supplies, and clothes. I neglected to wear a hat on my run this morning. I think that's the first time I've ever forgotten a hat. As a result, I had more sweat in my eyes than I normally would with only 4 miles in relatively cool weather. AP: 9:25. Splits: 10:07, 9:19, 9:13, 9:03.

| Easy run. 5:56 am, 61° F, 75% humidity, wind 6 SSE. I was meeting Lindsay at her house at 6:15 this morning. I like to give myself 20 minutes to get there, but I only had 19 this morning, so I ran just a little bit faster than usual to get there. She and I ran 3.5 miles together, and then I ran 1.1 miles home by myself. Lindsay is stressed out because her basement flooded, so we talked mostly about that. I don't know if it was because I started faster or if it was because she was stressed, but we ran the part together a little faster than usual. We usually have at least a couple of miles slower than 10:00, but the slowest we got was about 9:45.
I normally do the Shred on Friday's but I didn't feel like doing it this morning. I'm going to try to get to work at a decent time for a change. It was relatively cool this morning and cloudy, which was nice. It was a little humid, but not too bad, and the breeze was good. AP: 9:33. Splits: 9:30, 9:13, 9:29, 9:46, 9:43, 9:44, 0.6 @ 9:24.

| Easy run. 7:15 am, 69° F, 54% humidity, wind 5 SSW. I did not run a respectable Saturday distance today. I ran on the Highline Canal Trail with Carly. She wanted to run 6 miles and I didn't have the will to keep running after she stopped. Also, my knee was starting to bother me a bit. Carly and I had a nice conversation about politics while we ran.
