Easy run + level 2 Shred.

7:20 am, 62° F, 81% humidity, winds calm.

First of all, I want to thank everyone for their kind and supportive comments on my blog last Saturday. They really meant a lot to me.

I was quite sore after my run last Saturday and my right foot and left knee were really hurting all day on Sunday, so I decided not to run on Monday. I was going to run on Tuesday morning, but all of my shorts were in the washing machine. But this morning I had no excuses. I'm taking the day off from work to go to a Rockies baseball game with my husband and third son this afternoon, so I could sleep in a bit and still run this morning. My foot hurt a bit throughout the run and my knee starting hurting a little towards the end, but neither of them hurt enough to change my gait.

I just have to say, that third circuit of the level 2 Shred is tough. It always makes me sweat a bunch.

Congrats on getting out and feeling pretty good. I hope the day off from work provides a good mental break. A day with the family is always nice.

Good job getting back out there.

On vacation I meant to bring two pairs of running shorts and a swimsuit. I only brought one pair of running shorts instead so running (although not much running after the marathon) and swimming was tricky, I can relate to having no clean shorts.

glad you were able to take the day off & enjoy a run and a ball game.

I'm too chicken to try the level 2 or 3 on the video. I still get a workout from level 1.

It's great you got out today. Hope everything on your right side is...right.

Nice work Carolyn! I hope your day off is nice and that those little aches and pains diminish quickly.

Good Job playing it smart...healing up is better than pushing through and getting an injury...rest is important too.

Bummer about your foot and knee hurting - I hope they feel better soon! Good luck with the level 2 Shred! Oh, and watch out for the thunderstorms we're sending your way!

From Carolyn in Colorado on Thu, Aug 05, 2010 at 08:38:15 from 24.8.167.243

We got a thunderstorm on the way home from the baseball game. But at least the rain held off until after the game.
