Easy run.

5:56 am, 61° F, 75% humidity, wind 6 SSE.

I was meeting Lindsay at her house at 6:15 this morning. I like to give myself 20 minutes to get there, but I only had 19 this morning, so I ran just a little bit faster than usual to get there. She and I ran 3.5 miles together, and then I ran 1.1 miles home by myself. Lindsay is stressed out because her basement flooded, so we talked mostly about that. I don't know if it was because I started faster or if it was because she was stressed, but we ran the part together a little faster than usual. We usually have at least a couple of miles slower than 10:00, but the slowest we got was about 9:45.

I normally do the Shred on Friday's but I didn't feel like doing it this morning. I'm going to try to get to work at a decent time for a change.

It was relatively cool this morning and cloudy, which was nice. It was a little humid, but not too bad, and the breeze was good.

AP: 9:33. Splits: 9:30, 9:13, 9:29, 9:46, 9:43, 9:44, 0.6 @ 9:24.

Seems like the wrong time of year for a flooded basement. Poor thing. Good miles today.

NIce run today! Sue and I talked about her house issues last Sat. Her water line to her fidge broke and warped the hard wood floors in her kitchen. This is the second time this has happened.

Her basement flooded because of a huge (and I mean HUGE) thunderstorm that we had last Friday. I drove home from the doctor's office in it and it was a harrowing experience. She's been out of town since last Saturday, so she dealt with the flooding as much as she could before she left, but is dealing with it again now that she's back in town.

It's amazing what a difference a little cloud cover can make.

I'm sure Lindsay appreciated having someone to vent to. Running is good therapy, especially when you've got a friend to talk with.

I didn't feel like doing shred either (but when do I?)
