Pretty solid hour on the spinner. My hip, inner thigh and now hammy are just too sore to muster a run. My body is failing me... at the Dr's office the other day he said "maybe your just getting old".

Went out for a ride this morning while Myler was at preskool. Left the house at 8 a.m and it was 36F. Yep I froze. The sun was coming up and once I got out to Keyenta at mile 30 I stopped and took my jacket off but my feet never warmed and actually went numb. My hurt leg showed more signs of weakness as it didn't "hurt" but has only about half the output of my other leg. By the middle of the ride I was getting frustrated with the whole issue. But I was glad to get a good longish workout in... burn some calories. 19.4 avg mph. Not the fastest ride as I just didn't see a need to push, was cold, and wasn't whole.

Big boys run this morning. Had the Circle, Stephen and Billy boy out today. After not running for a few days I felt like hitting the road again. Hip felt so so. Not super sore like the end of last week but not great. Started to get pretty tight by then end. Still a good run with the guys. Logan even pulled his shirt off the last 5 miles with temps around 35F. That's one hairy dude.

My hardest ride yet. Left early so I could get in  a longish burn before the feast. Decided to head out to Gunlock then Veyo and do that loop. Hit 20 miles just after crossing the river before the Gunlock turnoff. Was basically right at 20 mph avg to there. Then the trouble started. Once I turned North on the Gunlock road I hit a NASTY head wind that sometimes would come back as a cross wind. It really beat me to death. I wanted to turn around every half mile. In the second hour of my ride I only covered 13 miles and worked way harder than on the first 20. True there are some good climbs but even on flat or slight downhills I had to keep it in an easier gear just to keep moving forward. It was just brutal all the way to Veyo where I turned south. I thought at least now I'll catch a ride with this tailwind back to town.... I did have a good tail wind up Veyo hill and it felt super EZ. Then up Dammeron the wind started to shift and by the time I got to the marathon halfway point I was in another headwind. Ugh! I just worked my butt off to get home in time to go to the family dinner. Figured the wind coast me about 35 extra min's. So by the time I got home I was truly hammered. Oh and I'd only taken 10 oz of gatorade with no Gu or fuel. Got off my bike and hobbled in the house then collapsed on the kitchen floor. The pie later was well deserved.

Had a full house and busy day planned so no run today. We had a T' time at Sand Hollow at 8:54 a.m and I figured with golf and shopping I'd just recover from yesterdays ride.  Beautiful day out on the course sunny and a high of 68 F. By the turn I had only shorts and a short sleeve shirt on.

Got up before the rest of the house (other than my uncle) and did the DC loop. Felt so so through 6 but the last 4 miles seemed pretty hard and the run just lasted forever. I'm depressed in the fact that a 10 mile run has become so hard. It seems like for years I've ran a 20 miler every Saturday just because. Now that seems like death.
