The Utah hill loop. I met up with Steve at 5 a.m and we headed out into the windy crap. The first six miles were slow taking us 1:01 and then Steve decided he was done because of a sore quad. So did the first loop in 2:04 and refueled at the Jeep then headed back out for the second loop. I ran into Steve walking back in and he didn't look too good. This lap really sucked or blew with wind. It was pounding me as I tried to climb up the long hills. I just about turned back as I was getting so bugged with the wind. But I finally turned and wasn't getting hit head on (now it was a cross wind) and that felt so much better. Up on the back side by the powerline I saw a snake all laid out in the road. I didn't get close enough to see what kind but we'll guess the worst- that it was a rattler and it wanted to bite me. I stayed nice and hydrated and finished feeling pretty good other than just being tired of being out in the crappy wind. I ran the second half in 1:55 so around a 9 min negative split.

Glad to get a good week in with 2 longer runs. I'm feeling stronger and that makes me smile. Next week I'll cut the daily mileage down just a little and try and do around a 40 mile long run... if things go good.

Wow, what a day of running! Great job on the negative split.

Have a great weekend, it was great talking to you the other day. Keep in touch!

Great to see you climbing the board, running strong, and feeling good!

Just when I thought I was doing sweet with a 25 mile day you have to come in with a 27 miler just to show me up. J/K. Good run. That wind was a crapper today.

Good to see those miles coming in Clyde. Take it easy and dont let that injury creep back up on you!

That is much quicker than I did any of my loops out there a month ago.

Dave you ran out there at the end of 150 mile week- mine was at then end of 82. Plus it couldn't have been much faster. It took you 6:18 total for all loop and stops. I didn't time my stop at the Jeep. Maybe only like 5 mins tops but if I would have did a third lap it would have been slower so total finishing time would have been the same or slower on my end.

Hey thanks. I'll be in your town for the next 6 weeks and hope to up my game before moving to Detroit. Craig's running some now, but that's about to end when he starts residency! Maybe it won't be as bad as we think.

Good job to you too! Impressive miles and speed.
