Well a hard morning today as last night was the longest night ever. We managed to get about one hour of sleep from dusk to dawn. Our first night home wasn't so special. But today ended up being pretty good around the house and the little guy seems to be doing just fine.

Good luck you guys!! No sleep the first night home is pretty normal...it should get better really soon. :)

Glad everyone is home. I know I could not wait to get my baby out of that hospital. Is he sleeping in a bassinet in your bedroom? Yeah, don't expect much sleep until he moves out into his own room! Every movement and murmur would wake me up, and I was SO happy when he started sleeping in his crib!

It took about 5 or 6 months for Seth to start sleeping through the night consistently. These days we'll put him down at 8:30PM, and he'll wake up hungry around 5:30AM, which is about when I get up anyway. It's sooo nice.

Thanks Sarah. We know it's normal but it still kind of sucks:) However last night (Friday night) we fed him and put him down at around 10. He slept until 2 a.m and then we fed and then he went back to sleep until 7:30 a.m. So I was way happy with last night ... Hopefully he will follow that type of pattern.

Paul- Yeah we are looking forward to getting him in the nursery and out of our bedroom. But we will probably keep him in our room for a couple weeks at least.

I'm glad you guys are home from the hospital Clyde. Just take it a day at a time because before you know it they turn 15 years old and you wonder where the time went!

I had an In & Out Burger today and thought about you, it felt good going down...

congratulations to you and Mik'L. So glad everything is going good. Dave and I need to come see you all. We are so excited for you! Tell Mik'L hi and we will see you soon!

Congrats that is so exciting. Although man that was a long time in the hospital. Sorry it was a hard labor that stinks. But happy the mommy and baby are doing well. It really doesn't matter in the end how thy get here, we are just glad they do and they are healthy. I remember bringing my daughter home and she thinking that night was day and day was night. But they figure it out after a while. But hopefully not to long so the parents don't go crazy!!

Don't worry Clyde, soon you will do like the rest of us Dads... Convince yourself that only one person needs to wake up to feed the baby and that Mik'l would rather do it anyway. You will be able to pretty much sleep through anything and in 5 years you will wake up one morning and think to yourself, "How did these 3 kids and my wife and I all fit in this queen size bed?" Okay, maybe not that exact thing, but probably pretty similar...
