| | It was miserably hot. I wasn't motivated today either, so I'm glad I did what I did still. I didn't wear a watch though. I felt pretty decent, not sure if I was running fast or slow, but I felt fairly good. Did some strides after.

| | 47 minutes. Easy overall effort. 6 miles on the trail. First two miles were faster as I had to catch up to Zach after talking to Greg Unsicker. Felt good. I love the trails

West Point 5k (3.18 Miles) 00:17:42, Place overall: 2, Place in age division: 2 | | Warmed up and got feeling decent, it was a little slow start. I talked with Kevin Hansen and then Trace Fifield as I warmed up and changed into my kinvaras. Did a couple strides on the line, but not too many. They moved the start line back and we finished there, so the course was long this year.
The gun went off and I was in the front, ha I forgot getting off the line in road races aren't too critical. I sat in the middle of the pack for the first mile. We went through just under 5:40, but it's uphill. Things started to break up after that. Carson and Fess were in front with Trace right on them and then I was a stride or so off of them. They gapped me a little more by two miles, which that mile wasn't as fast as I thought it would be. I started to push after that and try to regain contact because they were all breaking up. I passed Fess on 800 and then went around the corner pretty strong. I realized I was gaining on Trace and could get him if I dug a little harder, so I did. Finally beat the old man fair and square! So I was 2nd overall about 10 seconds behind Carson, who ran really well. My time would have been about a 16:52 on the old course, which is 3 seconds faster than I ran last year. Not bad considering I haven't been putting in tons of miles or training super hard.
Went out and finished with Rhett in 25:50, he is awesome. Also finished with Justin in 35 something. His form looks like me at that age.. It was a fun morning.
Doing some pre race strides, representing Canada. My home for the next two years.

| | Easy six on the small road. Wasn't up for more by myself, in the heat, after the race yesterday. Legs felt how I would expect. The first mile was slow, but after that the pace was good.

| | Felt nice and easy and relaxed, and I found out why when I finished, I averaged 7 minute pace. haha. Spent all day stripping shingles off a roof though, so it was okay.

| | Was planning on 6, but cut it a little short because I was so tired and it was like 70 percent humidity outside. No watch, but it felt hard, probably not fast

| | Went and hit Fernwood this morning, and it was exactly what I needed to let things loose and have a solid run on the trail. Took some parts kind of conservative, and got stuck behind some people at some parts. HPH was killer, like it always is. 53 minutes total, so not too bad

| | Went and ran with the XC team. They did 4x miles repeats with a mile jog between each.. I bounced around just trying to help people out. Ran the first one with Carson and Fess in 5:30 Then ran with Tyler Stark and Jake Reynolds in 5:55. Then I ran 6:50ish with Miles, and then mostly pushed Bella on the last one in 6:21 I think. Easy jogging back. It was really hot today.

| | Wasn't feeling good and it was hot. Didn't mentally have it to push, and my left hip flexor was really bothering me so I didn't do much.

| | Solid 6 today. Didn't wear a watch because I wanted to just relax and run. I felt pretty good overall. After I foam rolled which really helped my hipflexor.

| | Fernwood with the TEAM this morning. Figured there was no point in running alone, so I ran with the Robber. He was slower than I expected, but it was still good. He said it was the fastest he's ever ran it. I felt pretty good overall. Had to pass him just because I couldn't go that slow on the hills in some parts. I officially don't like mountain bikers up there either. They'll run you right over.

| | Felt pretty good the first half where it was uphill I felt like I was running a really good pace. After that I just didn't feel it. My legs got really tired with about 2 to go. Wondering if part of it is my shoes. Hard to be motivated right now

| | Short warmup. Then ran 400s with them. Ran about two thirds of them with the Robber, hitting around 80s, then finished up trying to help Jake Reynolds. They were getting decent recovery. I felt pretty good considering. 10 minutes cool down after.

| | Kind of an interesting run today. First three miles were at 7 minute pace and I just wasn't feeling it. The last two I decided to just take it up a notch, and it made the run a lot better. I Went 6:30 and then 6 flat. Those two were better that's for sure.

| | Good solid run. It was really hot. The uphills killed me though. 6:40 average, so I was happy with that

| | Left hip flexor hurting today. I really affects my runs because it isn't a fun dull pain to deal with. I still averaged 6:43 though, so not bad. My fitness is starting to come back, or at least show itself. But it's going to be gone here in not too long

| | Solid run today that I'm really happy with. I didn't time it because I just wanted to enjoy the run. I did just over half on the small road, so that there would be people to help keep me entertained. It was good and I kept a really solid pace the whole time. Dull pain occasionally in hip flexor, but nothing terrible
