Did a fartlek/tempo type run today. Ran outside. Did 1 mile warm up, then did 9x800s with .25 fast jog in between. My goal was to keep the rest around an 8 minute pace or so. Splits were (rest time in parentheses) 3:08 (2:00 rest) 3:07 (1:53), 2:56 (1:49), 2:51 (1:51), 3:05 (2:03), 3:05 (1:54), 3:17 (2:18), 3:06, (1:55), 3:07 then cool down. (alot of downhill and uphill on this loop) Overall pace including rest time was 6:43 for 6.5 miles. Felt good and I loved this workout. |
