Ran on the mill today. Did 3 miles warm up then 6x400s at 10.0 mph with .25 jog in between. (kept my jog to an 8:00 pace mile) . Why is it when I try to run over 10.0 I feel unstable? Does this happen to anyone else?

Yep, about fell off the other day doing mine too. You are right, the track is way better. However, the treadmill's at the gym are easier for me, my one at home makes me feel like I am rocking the entire basement somehow.
