P90X - Kenpo X

I enjoyed Kenpo a lot more this time than the last time I did it.  I was envisioning punching Mother Nature in the neck.

PM Workout

Last night I was up until 1:30am, hmm...I guess that wasn't last night, but this morning rather...writing a talk for the memorial service my sister is having for her late husband and then translating it into Spanish.  I was upset that I missed my P90X workout, but at least the Suns beat the dirty Spurs.  I thought I would have to double up my workouts today, but I slept in.  So I was upset again, but at least the Suns beat the dirty Spurs.  Did I say that already?  Then I remembered a little thing called running.  Oh, I should run!  So I geared up and headed out very slowly.  I think my heart rate got higher during my warm-up than my actual run.

Time - 19:19 (avg. pace 9:33)

Splits - 1 mile - 9:24, 1.02 miles - 9:56

I hate the dirty Spurs.

Another easy run today.  I kept thinking about how fast I was getting before this injury.  Hopefully I'll recover quickly.  I saw Kline Adams this morning and we stopped and talked about the High Priest social tomorrow.

One hummingbird this morning.

Time - 27:57 (avg. pace 9:18)

Splits - 9:03, 9:23, 9:32

My neighbor from down the street wanted to run Pat's Run next week, but she hurt her ankle.  We ran a mile together this morning.  She told me she's used to running at 13 minute pace on the treadmill.  I pushed her to an 11:45 mile.  I think she could do it.  Her ankle didn't bother her.  It's only 4.2 miles.  I'm going to tell her to go for it, unless she wants to train for something else.

After the mile I ran another 3 on my own, still at a slow pace.  I think I'm going to just do some slow miles for a while until I feel better.  It doesn't hurt to run as long as I'm going slow.  I wish my name rhymed with slow, like Joe.  Then I could be slowJoe because slowJoe's not really slow anymo'.

Time - 41:16 (avg. pace 10:19)

Splits - 11:45, 9:39, 9:55, 9:59

Day 10 P90X
