I took second at USATF Nationals Cross-Country when I was ten. I was 6th at nationals in the 3000 in 2004.

Personal:

I did lots of competitive running growing up. I'm now 23 and have fibromyalgia and CFS. I just finished nursing school and am going back for my MSN in a few months, but I want to get back in shape and be able to run again.

I ran to the gym from my house the long way. It was just under 5 miles and it took me 39:55. It was really hot outside but my leg didn't hurt at all. I also biked for 30 minutes and did conditioning.

This week I'm going to add in cross training and conditioning.

Conditioning each day will be:

3x10 push-ups

3x30 sit-ups

3x50 lunges

3x1 minute arm swings

I ran the cemetary loop today. It was 7 miles and it took me 57:37, so about 8:15 pace. My shin didn't hurt, but I was sore from some of the stuff I did yesterday. After the run we did 5 strides on the grass.

30 minutes pool running and conditioning, also 20 minutes of stretching

We did 3 miles around the blockfrom the park. It took me 23:30 so about 7:50 pace. Then I did 5 grass strides. Then we jogged a mile and a half cooldown. My shin was hurting a bit after the first 3 miles. Other than that it was good but I'm still sore.

30 minutes biking and conditioning

We ran on shoreline trail this morning. We started at the zoo and then ran to the drinking fountain at Red Butte Gardens and then back. It was 5 miles and it too me 47:47, so 9:33 pace. It sure felt faster than that but since it was on the trail that's probably why. The trails are always slower. My leg hurt a little bit before and then a little bit in the middle but other than that it was fine. My legs are starting to get tired.

I ran 4 miles easy this morning. 3 miles of it was uphill so it was pretty slow. I ran at 4:30 and it was kind of scary being alone but other than that it was a good run. 20 minutes stretching

Did just over a mile warm-up then some strides and then a mile time trial. I did it in 6:25. Then we did a cooldown. I felt good about the mile because I did it in training shoes and I did it after having worked 20 of the past 24 hours with no sleep. At the end of it I felt like I could have kept going at the pace. I think I need to keep working on developing my speed and the times will come down lots. Afterward I took an icebath.

I went for an easy 5 miles from my house towards my Grandpa's. My dad picked me up at 5 miles. I ran nice and easy and just enjoyed the run. It took me 46:57 and it felt pretty good. My legs are tired and sore from building my miles, but my shin didn't hurt too much. I only thought about it two times during the run.
