I took second at USATF Nationals Cross-Country when I was ten. I was 6th at nationals in the 3000 in 2004.

Personal:

I did lots of competitive running growing up. I'm now 23 and have fibromyalgia and CFS. I just finished nursing school and am going back for my MSN in a few months, but I want to get back in shape and be able to run again.

I ran an easy 4 miles at Liberty Park in 35 minutes, it felt good but I felt a little bit sluggish at the start.

Regular warm-up of a mile slow and a mile of speed changes. Then 4x300. Then we did 2x600, and 3x200. It ended up being 6 miles all together.

3 miles easy at Sugar House park. I was going to go further but my shin was hurting so I stopped.

One mile slow then a mile of speed changes. Then we did 3x200 jogging a 200 in between. My times were 38, 42, 38. Then we did 2x1200. My times were 4:42, and 4:41. Then we did a tempo 800 in 3:37, and a cooldown. It was a good workout but I'm frustrated because my times are not where they should be and every run kills my shins.

We did 2 laps around the track and then stretched. Then we went for a run to fairmont park. At the park we did 10 strides with a minute in between each. Then we jogged back to the school.
