| Member Since: May 24, 2015 Gender: Male Goal Type: Other Running Accomplishments: Pre-highschool: I loved to run and ran a few small local 5k's, but I did not run much on my own, besides junior high track.
Freshman year: I ran cross country and traied wih the team most of the summer. When the season started I ran 3 races including Murray Invitational. I got a huge PR there but after the race my foot hurt and I had a hard time walking. I ran on it for the next week but it was not getting better, so I went to a Sports MD and found out that i had a stress fracture. Becaue of that injury I missed the rest of the season. Then I ran track for my junior high but did not do extremely well.
Sophmore year: I trained hard over the summer and I got a 3 minute PR on my first race. I continued to PR, and had a good, injury free season. I ran indoor track an had some good PRs. I ran at simplot and had a great time. I did track and ran some goodtimes and cut my time down by 15 seconds, I was hoping that I could get low 5's in the mile, but I had fun and was able to race at the steepechase and have a fun time through out the season. At sophmore region I was able to PR in the 800 and I missed my PR in the mile by 2 seconds.
Junior year: I ran a little over 500 miles over the summer, but wasn't improving how I would have liked over the season. I was not consistant at all and was sick for aboout 3 races. I finally had a good race at region and dropped a 46 second pr. Track went well, I went sub-5 in the mile finally and got a PR in the 2 mile pretty easily. I didn't really hit the times I had hoped for throughout the season due to sickness and I just wasn't in it.
PRs:
800: 2:11
1600: 4:56.35
3200: 11:17.47
3 mile: 17:41
5k: 18:07 Short-Term Running Goals: Cross Country 2016:
Run 650 to 700 summer miles SUCCESS
Low 15's on the 5K and Sub 15 3 mile
Place at region and state
Go to footlocker nationals
Track 2017:
Sub 4:20 mile
Sub 9:15 on the 3200
Sub 2:00 on the 800
Sub 6:25 on steeple chase
Qualify for State, Arcadia, and Great South West, and become the best runner I can be. Long-Term Running Goals: Run cross country and track in college. Keep improving and just having fun. I'll probably run an ultra or two for the heck of it and to see if I like them. Personal: I'm a Senior at Weber High School. I am LDS and plan on serving a mission before college. | | I did 5 this morning with the team, on the way there I stuck with Paul, Nate, and Jake. It was nice and we had a good time, there was a lot of hills. Later tonight I did 3.75 with Jake and henry biked next to us. Hopefully Henry gets good news and is able to run again. We went at a good pace.

| | Did 5 this morning, Levi ran with me and Jake for the first 3 and me and Jake finished it off with doing 2 more. Later tonight I did 3 more miles with Jake, he was really feeling it and hauled the whole way, I was trying as hard as I could to keep up because I had Pizza Pie for dinner and felt like death. We averaged sub-7, it was good that he was there to push me.

| | I did 8 miles today with Jake, we weaved through some neighborhoods to big rock and ran back. We did not go up big rock because we are both racing this weekend and did not want to be to sore for them.

| | Another 8 miles today, I ran to Weber where we were meeting as a team. We ran on the Left side of the canal that goes out to the elk ranch. Me, Jake, and Henry maintained a pretty good pace on the way there, and the gate that is usually locked was open. So we were able to go farther than usual, and run up right next to the elk. On the way back we got spread out a bit more, but it was still a good pace. We then stretched as a team and I ran home. My hip was bugging me today, so hopefully it is nothing major and I will be able to race well on Saturday.

Perry City 5k (3.107 Miles) 00:19:06, Place overall: 6, Place in age division: 1 | | Woke up at 6 to do a mile shake-out. Once we drove to Perry I did a 1/2 mile warmup with 3 strides. I was kinda nervous at the start line because there were 5 or so runners from Box Elder's XC team. My goal was just to stick with them and last a bit longer at the pace we were going. The race started pretty fast and my first mile was way to fast. I was trying to keep with the pack in front of me becasue it spread out quick. There was a small group about 100 meters in front of me and a couple Box Elder kids were sticking on me pretty well at the first mile. Around a mile and a quarter there was a small hill that I was able to power up and lost the kids who were on my tail. I stayed alone the rest of the race and started reeling a guy in, but he ended up beating me by a little at the end. I ended up beating all the Box Elder kids besides one (he ended up winning the whole thing:) good job to him!), and they were really fun to talk to and meet after the race. I was kinda dissapointed with my time just because it was so close to last week, but it was a much harder course today, so its not to bad. :) My hip hurt after, so I cooled down for a mile and a half and called it good. My splits were 5:56 for the first mile, 6:27 for the second mile, and 6:28 for the third mile.
