41:25 ... I was glad to see 40` on the schedule, I am still sick. I think I needed a few more days of antibiotics. Ever since I finished my 10 days I have been getting sicker. I am going back in to the doctors today to see what they say. YIKES. I am a little bummed, I am hoping beyond hope that it doesn't spread to my chest. And, I am hoping that my two 8 hour travel days (5-6 hours of flying) in row doesn't make it worse (damn work interfering with my training!). The one thing I forgot to tell you about from my run yesterday, I almost got hit by a huge buck deer!! He came FLYING, I mean flying from out of the wash and missed literally hitting me by about 10 ft!! it was amazing. I never did see what/who he was running from (it is hunting season here -- bow only, and usually a little further from major trailheads. I saw a cute little fawn in my yard this morning, it was a little odd because I almost always see them in herds of at least 3 - 4. Happy Wednesday bloggers!! Update: I am in tears. The doctors visit was not good, at all. There is a chance that I can beat this thing, but chances are small. She basically thinks it is a viral infection (especially since it is on the heels of a 10 day course of antibiotics) that is going around. If it is the same thing that she has seen (tons of, btw) it will go to the lungs, and I WILL be out of commission for a while. I did get some more antibiotics -- she said if it doesn't feel much better in two days stop taking them -- and I am trying EVERYTHING else under the sun, but her exact words when I said, "I am running a marathon in 11 days" was, "I am so sorry ..." I won't cuss because this is a family friendly blog, but there are many words that are on the tip of my tongue that are most definitely not "family friendly". I am still not giving up yet (without a fight -- an immune fight that is), but I am not sure I am going to waste my time running *in* a marathon if I am sick (though I will still go and watch the trials). I am sick to my stomach now - just thinking about not running. I think I am going to go home and eat worms.
