I am married and have four children. I grew up in Colorado and was recruited to the U to run distance, then I transferred to Utah State University and ran for them. I just had surgery on my left shoulder (last Thursday), so my training is not regular yet.  I went to physical therapy and they gave me the green light on the indoor stationary bike.  I am thrilled about my progress in such a short time.

30 minutes on the road bike trainer this a.m. It felt good to get some cardio in and sweat a little. I still can't wait to run some miles outside - it just seems more productive. I prefer to exercise outside most always. I am still patiently letting my body heal. I did my PT exercise today...surprisingly they are less painful as you go.

I visited with my doctor today and had the stitches removed. We also reviewed the pictures of my shoulder arthroscopy and they showed me the osteoarthritis.  To see pictures visit the post and click on the link to read my update and view the pictures.  It's not everyday you get to look at the inside of your living body – cool!

Well, I have been taking it easy the last few days because my shoulder seems to be really achy. One thing is for sure, it is better to take it easy then to push too hard right now.  Still no jarring, so that means no running.  I am trying to be patient, but I miss it.

I walked this morning with a friend. We went a little over 4 miles and it felt good to get out and move. I wore my sling to prevent using my arm too much - which proved to be helpful and I was much more relaxed. I really miss running and it seems very cold to just walk, not to mention how much longer it takes. In due time I guess...still being patient.
