Track workout at DSU with the running club.

Today was super windy on the backstretch, but I guess the wind helped push me foward on the homestretch.

The workout was: 1600 warm up, 800 of stretches, jogging, & strides

800 - 3:38,  400 recovery

1600 - 7:12  400 recovery

800 - 3:26, 400 recovery

1600 - 7:09, 400 recovery

800 - 3:26, 400 recovery

Bleachers - 5x, then 1200 cooldown

I did a little better than last week.  Actually my slowest interval was the first 800, and I was able to do the rest just a little faster and stay consistent.  I am still not super fast, but I think this track work will help me a lot.  This was a lot of fun, too.  I met a girl on the track going about my pace and we ran the last 2 800s together and the second 1600.  There was also an older guy that ran our 2nd mile repeat with us.  It was cool - it felt like teamwork as we helped eachother out.  This reminded me of my high school track days.
