Drove down to Galveston from Houston and surfed through the early morning.  Mostly gentle waves almost not worth the effort but for the feeling of being on the water.  Did a long run along the Gulf coast after.  Last day of five at work, the longest trip away from home I have done in a long time.  But a good one.

Your training is looking great. Boston the next race or anything before? Good job man!

Thanks! I'm pretty much just running what I feel is fun every week. Next race will be the 50k in Moab. First Ultra and I'd rather not run it looking like a dork. It's a very competitive trail race. I'd like to enjoy it but still be able to run it decent.

I ran that race a few years back. Loved it... but I took several wrong turns and it cost me the win. So pay close attention to the trail. I just had my head down running hard... then was 1.5 miles off the race trail.

But I love Moab and that course is super pretty. If I wasn't running PHX marathon March 1st I'd be tempted to come do Moab again.

I didn't know you ran that. That must have been in one of it's first years. It has grown pretty popular now. Mackey will be running this year (North Face runner who holds R2R2R record) as well as a couple Wasatch 100 winners. I did a wrong turn in the trail championships in Moab a few months ago too. Throws off your whole game.

I just looked up your race report. What a bummer. They have a new course now. It's funny when I look at some of you guys's race reports that you have more race experience than I have. I've only ran since turning 40. I always think of you as the young guys.
