Spent the day boating along the Wawheap area of Powell and getting the boat into storage. Afternoon I took the kayak out heading South. Not a boat on the lake tonight which I have never experienced, water was glass. I did the longest kayak trip I have ever done, 11 miles past Glenn Canyon through Antelope down into Navajo. Had to portage the kayak six times, once over a mile and a half As exhausted as I can ever remember being. It was warm at first but after 11pm the temp dropped fast and the water spraying over the front was freezing on my face and hands. A few hours later I was covered in a coat of ice but loving every minute. Just unreal experience. Seven hours as hard as I could go. |
