Got up early this morning and gathered up my young men for the long trip up to the Boundry Waters in Minnesota.  Took us about 12 hours to get up there with a little lunch stop on the way.  We unloaded our stuff, and then Kallen and I headed out for an easy 8 along the highway in the trees.  I could feel the 44 oz Dr. Pepper in my deep gut. (gotta stop drinking that SH$T) Finished the night off with some ultimate fisbe before the long canoe trip.

We finished up our week out on the water early this morning aroun 10AM and got in the car to get down to Minneapolis as soon as possible.  I took the boys to Mall of American and we had a ton of fun catching lots of Pokemon.  Kallen and I hit the streets around 8:30 and enjoyed the 70 degree weather.  Probably one of the smoothest runs I have had in a long long time. Everything was perfect. Stride, landing and virtually no pain.  Ended the night with a soak in the hot tub and sauna.

Up early to beat the heat of the day. (which really never arived) I created a new loop that I call the Uly loop.  The name comes from a buddy that I have that lives basically at the half way point. I know, im super creative. ;)  Legs were feeling alot more recovered from saturday.  Saturday I was feeling the fatigue of not great food and hardly any running last week. Great run, only felt a bit of the long run ach around mile 10.

I finally had to replace my bike tire! I cant complain much because i put probably 2K miles on them.  Once I got that all taken care of I took off from the house to where my new place of employment will be in september.  I took some time to figure a right way to get there so i will factor that in to how long it will take to bike to work. By the time i figured a good way to get there i had wasted probably 10 mins.  I arrived at my destination in about 1hr 14 mins, just shy of 20 miles out.  I stoped at a taco bell to refuel and grab some more water and headed on back.  The trip back was much harder due to the heat and a lot more climbing that i thought.  It took me 1hr 33 min to get back.  I was getting quite fatigued towards the end but feel confident that I could do this ride 2 mabye 3 times a week.

Got out on easy six today but it didn't feel easy at all. I was struggling the whole time to keep even close to an 8min pace. Lots of fatigue from riding so far yesterday and overdoing it with lifting. My tendons are still not 100% I'm trying to be as careful as I can.

Did an exploratory loop around our new house we will be moving into later in September. I rode all around the neighborhoods and figured out some solid running loops. I hooked back on highway 50 back home and had a nice acceleration for about 3 miles home.

Longview lake extension today with 5 mile warm up and the rest at a solid 18 to 22 mph pace. Legs felt powerful and much better from Wednesday s run. My left medial side of my calve was hurting a bit after but nothing too alarming. I would post a prime but my watch died halfway through. :/

Saturday was a real let down. I can't seem to control my tendinitis. I don't feel like I've been running too many miles or over training. So frustrating!! Got up early and did the lake jacomo loop. I had a good feeling the whole time pushing up the hills and just overall a great ride. Not hot at all. Took some great pics. But even biking I could feel my tendinitis flare up when I would push hard up hills. :/

Chilly start to this morning. Around 63 will lots of chilly humidity to add to it. Haha I never thought I would think 63 is chilly. XD

I followed Indian Creek Trail for 15 miles out just to see where it went and was surprised to find that it goes forever!!! I was about 1/4 through the trail at 15 miles. I looped Nall and Stateline back home. Feeling the ride yesterday in the butt and some fatigue. Nothing too bad.

I got to do one of my favorite run here in St george, the 8 mile river run. It was nice to get to think back on all the good memories while I was running. All went well but that dry air. I never thought I would appreciate humidity until now.

We spent the night in a cabin on the north rim of the grand canyon. Great views and hikes last night followed by a not so good night of sleep. I got up at 5am, mainly because I couldn't sleep, and headed down the road and found this Kaibab horse trail and went exploring down that. The 8K elevation did effect me a lot more that I wanted but I just kept thinking how great awesome it will be when I get back home to my 800 ft elevation haha

Bryce canyon today! I got up early to a very chilly morNing and headed up the trail for a while. It was mostly uphill the first half and was a bit of a struggle to keep under 8 min miles. On the way back I threw it into gear and hit 4 miles just under my goal marathon pace.

Back in St george early to see my brothers baby. Today I went out across the new bridge to washington and grabbed some great scenery out there and then hit Washington road all the way back home.

Up early with Kallen to get a longer run in down ward Parkway. This is one of my favorite runs! It's shaded and not terribly hilly plus there are some pretty homes to look at along the way. Hit halfway mark and we started to pick it up more and more on the way back. The last 3 we hit around 18:55, not terribly fast but enough to to feel like I got more out of the run.

Extended Longview loop. Not a good day for me on the bike. Ithe felt like I was fighting the whole time but only averaged 13.5. I guess the $100 Walmart bike don't really help. But I finished out and felt decent.

10 from minor park with Kallen. Probably one of the most hilly runs I've done ever. Overall I felt really good given the hills, some stomach stuff. The last 3 miles we were so sick of the hills we picked up the pace to just get it over with.

I experimented with an evening run to see if my legs felt better and what not. I did an out and back through the hood to Longview dock. I really enjoyed the night run, I seemed to have a great amount of energy. Highlight of the run was this cute little black girl outside playing and she saw me running by and yelled to her mom "why is he doing that?" And the mother just laughed and said something like he is a crazy white boy... Haha loved it!!

Workout today in the middle of the day..... terrible idea, but it was the only time Kallen could do it. We warmed up 2 miles and did some 400 s. I planned on doing only 4 since its been quite a while since I've ran that fast.

I wanted to do more but I was feeling the burn and I didn't want anyone to see just how slow I was. 5 cool down after and some tasty watermelon at Kallen house

Up at 5:50 to get 13 in before my business class at 9. We met at the Longview trail and headed out. We enjoyed good conversation and a nice brisk morning. No problems, just a great run. Legs are ready for a day off for sure
