Easy 8 mile run this afternoon. Looking at some demographics tonight. It's interesting how people are leaving blue states in order to live in red states.

I found your blog interesting...so I decided to look at the demographics on a county level instead of state level. That was very interesting. It appears that most large population centers are blue while the rest of the counties are red. For example most counties in California are red, but the large cities are blue. To me that means that since the state is blue, those population centers have a large influence on what goes on in the majority of the state even those who live in the majority of areas of the state may have completely views.
Do you know if the migration from blue states to red states is a migration from blue cities in blue states to red cities in red states, or a migration from blue cities in blue states to blue cities in red states?
It was also interesting for me to see the change over the last 40 years of the purple states.
