After we all got sick in my household Thursday I thought for sure we were not going to come down and run snow canyon. I even cancelled our babysitter. But still, riley was determined to get me down there to race. So we decided at 12 on Friday to take the kids and give it a shot. Nothing went well the whole weekend so I had low expectations going into the race but still I decided I would try my best because I worked hard in the weeks coming up to the race to get to where I was at. It was a beautiful course. I was trying to be conservative the first few miles but I couldn't help put let the downhill take me as I ran faster mile splits then I thought I would. The whole race was great and I felt like I was flying until mile 10 my energy was gone so I gutted out the rest of the race the best I could. My goal was 1:30 and I ran 1:26:54. I'm happy with the result and have a good starting point to work from.

Awesome race. I knew you had it in you to beat 1:30 by a good margin on that course. You had a lot of last minute obstacles before the race and overcame them all to put in a great performance. I'm proud of ya.
