With deep pool running I wear an aquajogger vest and tether myself in place in the deep end of the pool. Although I am doing it because I am rehabilitating my achilles, it can be a good form of cross training. I try to do sets of intensive intervals. Hopefully, it will help with the transition back to running.

As to your goal to Boston Qualify. Keep up the consistency. I think that helped me improve as much as anything, whether it was consistent running or running mixed in with cross training. Best of luck.
