Ran 4 miles on the treadmill. Kids had a 2hr delay so I took advantage. Ran slow (9:13) for almost the whole mile and did 1 min strides each mile at an 8 pace with a total of 4. Felt good. It actually felt better to run the 8 pace then to run slower. Looks like my legs are coming back from my month off.

Well confirmed.....Broken Rib!!! Hurts like hell. Ran 3 miles this am before I knew it was broken. Started at a 9:40 pace for 1 mile, went to a 9:30, then a 9:22. The last 1/2 mile sped up to an 8:27 just to get done and the last 1/4 was a 7:30. It felt better to run faster. As soon as I stopped the pain set in again. We shall see how it goes. Leave it to me to break ribs!!!

Ran 4 miles on the treadmill (with broken ribs). Ran the first three at a 9:22 pace by the last mile felt good do ran 1 more at 9:10.

Ran 4 miles on the treadmill stated at 6.2 then increased for 3 min and decreased for 3 min and back and forth.....went from 6.2-7.0. Finished in 36:10. Looks like another treadmill day 18 inches of snow and counting. Supposed to get up to 3 feet!!!

Ran 7 miles on the treadmill. First two at 9:40, second two at 9:30, one at 9:13 then did halfs for 9:40, 9:30, 9:22, and last half at MP 8:34. Felt ok but was tired from last nights run. Blizzard today. Snow is over my kids heads. Cant wait to run on the trail again!

Ran 3 miles on the treadmill at an 8:57 pace. Blizzard outside and hard to get off the couch!!

Blizzard outside and snow over the kids heads. Did hill workout on the treadmill. 10 min warm up at an easy 9:40 pace then increased the speed to 6.5 9:13's and ran hills at 3, 5. and 7% until I had about a mile left was going to cool down but felt so good ran the first 1/2 at the same 9:13 pace then went to 8:34 for a 1/4 then 7:53 for the last 1/4. Avg pace 9:20's because of the warm up. I hate that!!! Oh well quality hill is what I wanted and thats what I got.

Ran 8 on the treadmill... It kills me to do more than 6 on the treadmill and then to have to do it slow and relaxed is hard to. Tried to just get into a groove and run but it was mentally tough today. Finished 8 in 1:17:34 stopped once @ 6 miles for 30 seconds (CJ was crying) then finished.

Ran 4 on the treadmill. Following a running schedule. Easy slow day....Started at 6.0 and went up every half mile till 6.3 and back down. Painfully slow, supposed to do 9:47's but averaged 9:45's. Tomorrow will be fast so I guess I should savor it.

Ran on the treadmill 1 mile at 9:30 pace (warm up) then two miles at 8:13, then 1/2 at 9:30, 1 @ 8:34, 1/4 @9:30, and tried to finish strong with the last quarter at 8:13. Finished in 43:43. Avg pace 8:44.

Ran outside. Cold! 25 degrees. Ran linstead loop three times. A little faster than I would have liked for a "long run". Garmin hung around 9:28 per mile until I had 2-3 miles left then I picked up the pace. When finished Garmin said Avg 9:19. Finished in 1:23:51.
