AM: 15 minutes bike and morning hip drill. Hip's feeling alright. I am getting a bit more extension with walking, so that is exciting! SI joint still feels like poo. I am seriously considering a trip to New Zealand or the Dolomites late summer, anyone want in?

PM: Evening hip drill. Of course as soon as I say the hip is feeling alright it totally freaks out. Was on my feet a little too much today and it got super painful so I left work early and went home and crawled into bed with my ice packs. I've only been off crutches for four days so this is to be expected and I shouldn't let these flare ups get me too down.

My parents want to go to Hawaii around Aug 17th, so wouldn't it makes sense to go to NZ for about 3 weeks beforehand, and then stop by Hawaii for a week or so on the way back?

Hawaiian Airlines flies to Auckland so it would seriously be a great deal to go through Hawaii!

New Zealand is amazing! We went last Christmas and I can't wait to go back. We didn't have time to do any of the major tracks, but next time I want to at least do the Milford Track and the Routeburn Track. Although if you go in August, it will still be winter in NZ. Of course stopping in Hawaii would be a great way to warm back up!
