8 miles with 3 tempo. Man I was trying really hard to keep a positive attitude about this run. It started out really well. I was feeling really calm and really strong. We had a good pace going. But by a 1.5 I was struggling a lot. I fell back a lot from the group and then on the last stretch Mia came and helped me finish strong. Mia is a pretty stellar captain. I don't know why but I really struggle with tempos. I don't have as much a problem with other workouts but tempos really hit my weak spot. My knees have been having lots of trouble lately but not every day. It's weird. But I talked to roberts afterward and I really don't want to use that as an excuse to drop back. So I guess tempo is just something I'm going to have to work on extra hard, mentally and physically. PM:couldn't go to afternoon practice cuz I was out in Zions! Hiking with my family :) |
