Enjoyed the day off with my family.  We went out and ate at a Chinese buffet.  My oldest daughter is tired of sitting around and was glad to go out and eat.  I worked on a laptop today as well and made extra money while watching football.

Sunday's is my day of decision if I want to run or not.  It depends if I feel like sleeping in or not.  This morning I slept till 9am so I didn't run.

Temperature this morning was 25 degrees. I stayed up late last night watching the Rockies and Phillies play (my team is already in the LA Dodgers) so I got up a little later than normal. I was 100% unmotivated to run, but I got out the door anyway.

It's funny! Once I get out the door and get past the first mile my whole countenance changes, and I can start focusing on the run. It's just getting out the door with not having a bad attitude about running that morning. What do you guys do when you feel this way about your attitude in the morning with running, do you go back to bed, or not do it that day, or go ahead and do it? We should have a poll on this.

Anyway, I ran 10.21 miles at an overall 6:47 pace in 1:09:15. Last two miles at (6:13, 6:18) any faster and I would have froze. Good run even on the lack of sleep.

I've got to retire my Brooks Axiom 2 shoes. I need to find another size 12.5 cheap like I did these ones. I like them for cushioning.

Got called in from work last night and worked till almost 1am. I was at my brother's house where I haven't been for a while (and he lives right down my block) and ate dinner for the first time in over a year. I had to leave and go to work from there. How depressing to miss out on some fun. I don't know how to have fun anymore.

I was dead tired after 4 hours of sleep. I ran 13.5 miles up the Satterfield hill loop at a 7:18 pace in 1:37:49. I finished the last 3 miles in the high 6ish range. The weather was 50 degrees and I was over dressed, but we had 25mph wind the whole time.

I do have some pain under my left foot right where the five toes intersect.  It hurts more so when I turn.  It's been there for a couple weeks.  I just think I need to get some cushioned shoes with lesser miles.

Last night was funny.  I was so tired I laid down on the floor in our bedroom at 9pm while my wife was watching TV and we were talking (I wanted to be in there with her because I've felt like I haven't seen my family lately with all the work).  About 10 minutes after that I was snoring and sound sleep.  My wife laid a blanket on me.  I eventually woke up at 11:20pm and got in bed.  I was so tired last night that everything hit me all at once and I crashed.  Deprived sleep has been a problem for me lately and it's surely affecting the running.

I was still really tired this morning even after all the sleep.  I ran 12.12 miles at an overall 7:04 pace in 1:25:31.  Very windy and a very hard 7 miles in the wind.  Ran up to Idaho State University and back home.

ISU meant the Governor's 6% budget cuts and there will not be anymore layoffs for this fiscal period.

My daughter was sick today so I'm staying home with her, and I actually woke up not feeling good and the bottom of my left foot is hurting (need heavier new shoes).  I decided to run but I had to be back by 7:40am so my wife could leave for work.  I ran 5.5 miles at an overall 6:33 pace in 36:02 minutes (6:16, 6:16, 6:17) flat course.  Then as soon as I got back I hopped on the treadmill and ran another 9.7 miles in 66 minutes.  Total 15.2 mile continuous run.

Bottom of left foot is sore.

Sick no running and feel like crap.  Lymph nodes are swollen.  I have a cough, and a sore throat from the cough.  Hot and cold chills.  I went to the doctor yesterday to test for the flu, because they can stop it if you go within the first 24 hours.   But I tested negative and it's some other virus and there's nothing they can give me.  I'll have to fight it out.

What's sad is I was headed to close it an 80 mile week.
