Rest.  Came back from camping and had to unload the ATV and set the trailer in place in my driveway and do some cleaning in the heat.   Had to work last night because of an alerted disk problem at work with one of our systems.

Had to hurry this morning because of an earlier morning meeting I had to attend for my Supervisor because he was on vacation.  I did 7.13 miles at an overall 6:40 pace in 47:35 minutes.  I did the last few faster to get the run in (6:29, 6:21, 6:09, 6:15).  I preferred to sleep-in later than run today.  My motivation for marathon's right now isn't very high.  Sleep sounds better.

Tired, not motivated, grumpy, didn't want to run, wanted my bed etc. Son kept us up with a cough and a nightmare last night so not much sleep.

I got my unmotivated body out of bed and ran the Satterfield loop at a not to bad pace even though I started the first few miles slow. I ran 12.15 miles at an 7:12 pace in 1:30. I ran two miles in the 6:2ish range. I wanted an easy run today, because I've push the last few runs lately so a good aerobic run was the strategy today. I need to get interested again in running and not be so unmotivated.

Evening

Did three strides just to get some speed movement.

no running.   I worked from 11pm to 6am this morning.  I could have ran but when your tired  and try to train that really doesn't accomplish anything.

I ran 13.32 miles at an overall 7:14 pace in 1:36 on a very nice cool morning. I was still tired from the long night at work, and only sleeping 3 hours yesterday. Training has been tough this year with the extra responsibility at work and some of the late night work hours that thoughts of upcoming marathons are not even a focus.

My wife is at camp with the daycare and it's just my son and I tonight. I'm going to take him to McDonalds and let him play on the toys.

Lunch:

Did 9.24 miles at an overall 6:48 pace in 1:02 on my lunch hour in 80 degree weather.  This was 3 hours after running 13 miles.  The legs were fresh with the day-off yesterday.  Did the last half faster heading back in from Indian Hills  (6:27, 633, 6:21, 6:38).

This morning I had only a short amount of time to run because I had my son.   I dropped him off at our daycare at 7:30 then headed back home and started running at 8am and I had to be at work at 9am.

Being tired I didn't push too hard and was actually surprise at my results, because I was absolutely drained when I woke up this morning with a major headache.  I ran 7.40 miles at an overall 6:49 pace in 50.14 minutes.  Splits for last few miles (6:44, 6:47, 6:38,6:37,6:15).  Not bad.

Lunch:

Ran 8.12 miles at an overall 7 minute pace in 56.51.  Tried to keeps things slow running down 4 th Street then hitting the last mile of the Pocatello Marathon course before heading back to my office on the ISU Campus.  80 degrees outside but I really never got hot or thirsty.

Started running with Bill at the beginning of the Pocatello Marathon course at around 50 degrees, but it was much cooler moving down the mountain.  Both Bill and I were tired with the long work hours, and short nights of sleep, but we  had a good conversation going for 17 miles.  Bill did awesome with less than 5 hours of sleep last night.  He is a mile machine.

Then I wanted to see if I had anything in my legs after doing double runs the last couple of days and doing it on the hardest section of the course.   I did 6:2ish and 6:3ish miles and 6:4ish miles.

Totals 22:46 miles at an overall 7:05 pace in 2:39 pace.
