I ran 9.21 miles this morning at an overall 7:03 pace in 1:05.  I ran will Bill Mandler for around three miles which was very nice to run with someone.  He's a great friend and is going to smash all his PR's this year.  The temperature was 12 degrees when I started.  I did pick the pace up towards the end of the run.  I decided to run 9 miles when I had planned to only run 6 or 7.

No running today.  I had a wonderful date with my wife.  I took her to Chili's then we just goofed off all day, it was fun.  Days like this who needs running.

Got up this morning and had a wonderful devotion with my wife.  It talked about how we can't let things get in the way of us reaching God.  Also that only true love for your spouse has to come from God in order for marriage or a relationship to work.  Love just can't come from you if you don't have God because it's not enough.

I ran 11.2 miles today at an overall 6:54 pace int 1:17.  I did a tinman tempo today in the last four miles of the run.

Mile 1:   6:16  ( coming off bench road and it's all downhill mile).  I took it easy not really pushing.

Mile 2:  6:25  (completely flat on Hiline Rd.  Took it easy and I felt good).

Mile 3:  6:16  (completely flat and the pace was comfortable.  It really wasn't a hard effort).

Mile 4:  6:17  (completely flat and endurance, form and stride rate all felt comfortable and not hard).

Did a 6:44  cool-down mile afterwards on the last mile to my house.

I'm not going to run the Salt Lake Marathon or maybe even the Ogden Marathon this year.   I don't want to spend a lot of money traveling.  Not sure what I will do this year.  I like running these but  I'm in the conserve money mode this year.  Sometimes you have to hold back and show wisdom and not do the worldly things you like to do.

Today's morning devotion was good with my wife.   It talked about salvation how we are born in sin, but if we believe in our heart and confess with our mouth we shall be saved.  Once we have salvation in our heart then the love can flow out of us.

Today, the temperature was 12 degrees with a little bit of a wind.  I ran 10.31 miles at an overall 6:52 pace in 1:10.  I seemed to be increasing my miles a bit.  Really I'm just going with the flow on what I feel like doing each day.  Tomorrow I have a early morning meeting at my daughter's school dealing with her learning disability "NLD", so I might only be able to run a couple of miles.

I was training to analyze my year of  training to get an idea what I want out of this year, and here's my thoughts and situation:

This year is going to be hard for training, because I have so many early morning meetings at work, (three meetings every week with no ending) and I can't run on my lunch hour, because I work on my lunch hour for my wife's daycare now.   I'm not going to get up any earlier to run, because the early morning devotion with my wife  is more important to me than running which I'd quit running if I even thought this.  Even if I wanted to get up earlier I wouldn't run outside, and Gold Gym (where my membership is) doesn't open until 6am.  I believe this will have to be a year of step back and I'll be out of the scene for a while.

Now things can change and if they do I will re-evaluate my situation, and would be able to train harder.  I will train hard with what I have available to do as far as my schedule is right now.

After a great morning devotion with my wife.  I ran on our treadmill that was finally fixed. Almost a year ago I fell off of it on valentines day when the board underneath split in two.   I cracked my head and split open my elbow when that happened.

We had an early morning meeting at the school to discuss my daughter's "NLD" diagnosis to see what support there going to help us with.  She's already in IEP in school which is Special ED.  We have a lot of work and support that were going to have to keep our daughter focused on to help her overcome this, and it will happen.

To get more miles in it was easier to run at home, "before the meeting ", on the treadmill than getting winterized to go outside.  I really probably only do it for today.  I ran 7.2 miles at an 6:40 pace in 45 minutes while watching the NFL network at home.

Lunch:

200 push-ups and 150 sit-ups on the office floor.

Had a good morning devotion with the wife.  Talking about even though were imperfect we can't reject each others love.  Times can get tough if a spouse tries to mold you in the person they want you to be.  A marriage can become selfish if you only want what you want, and continually reject the love from your spouse.  Christ loves us for who we are so why can't we love the person that we fell in love with for who they are.

SNOW SNOW SNOW this morning and lots of it.  I ran 11.33 miles at an overall 7:02 pace in 1:19 on only 4 hours of sleep.  I had to work late last night and had an early meeting so time was very restricted.  I ran up Satterfield Rd and down Bench Rd.  and then down Hiline Rd taking detours here and there to get the distance I wanted.  My body is really feeling good right now and the runner and endurance feels good.

SNOW, SNOW again.  I started my run at 7:30am and it never stopped snowing, or  let up at all.  I decided to do a longer run today to get some endurance fitness which I've probably lost a little.  I ran 18.41 miles at an overall 7:09 pace in 2:11.  I did some faster miles, but I mainly kept it on cruise control the whole run.

One thing I haven't metioned is I've been experiencing back pain for almost two weeks now and not sure why.   It started after struggling up a hill in one of my runs.  It's a very sharp pain at times, but it doesn't really hurt when I run.
