I wanted to open the new year on a run even if my foot was in pain.  I ran 2.11 miles at an overall 7:58 pace at 3am this morning.  I couldn't sleep so I decided to get up and run.  I saw an Ambulance out in a couple different areas on my run.  My foot did hurt afterwards, but I took some Motrin and that seemed to help.

I'm having acupunture done tomorrow, and hopefully that will help.  I'm really keeping busy to distract my running.   The xbox 360 that I got for christmas helps, especially playing Madden football 09 and Ncaa football 08.

Sounds like a plan. When was/is your visit with the surgeon?

From wheakory on Thu, Jan 01, 2009 at 18:07:08

Adam the earliest I can get in is January 22. I'll just keep the running to almost nothing or just evaluate my foot everyday and see if it heals on its own.

Sorry to hear that you are still having problems with your foot. You seem to be taking a good approach and have a great attitude which really helps. You have had an amazing year of running so I'm sure you will bounce back quickly once you get your foot well. Hope you have had a great New Years day!

You got an XBOX? Hot! My bros want one but my parents won't get them one :). Suckers. How have you been? I am out of touch with work and the holidays I am sad to say i have lost touch with everyones blogs. How are you?

Good to get a New Years run in!

Howling Commando - I'm not doing bad. My foot seems to show promise. The Xbox 360 is fun. I don't want to be addicted to it too much though. I'm really not much of a couch potato. But at least it's wireless. How have you been.

Jim - Thanks... Our new years was fine. We didn't do much but that was fine with me.

I'm okay. Busy with work and all. Finally starting to jog a bit with the new orthotics. Wishing that I just had down time to not have to worry about money for the wedding and school and loan payments . ugh! lol
