Hope you survive. Make sure they don't get carried away down there and start snipping other things...

From wheakory on Thu, Oct 30, 2008 at 10:42:56

Good luck Walter. You will be in my prayers. I did receive your Hard Drive and I'll let you know the status.

From kungfublonde on Thu, Oct 30, 2008 at 11:51:21

Can't wait to see you back on the blog! I posted some terrifying 80's pictures of myself for your "mocking-Rachel" pleasure. Laughter is the best medicine, they say!

From Lucia on Thu, Oct 30, 2008 at 12:12:00

Go Wall-e! You're going to be juuuuust fine. Keep us posted!

From Camille on Fri, Oct 31, 2008 at 11:03:54

Walter - I hope the surgery went well and you are comfy on the couch or in your bed, sleeping, and recovering. I'm still thinking about you. Let us know how your doing when you are up to it.

From walter on Fri, Oct 31, 2008 at 12:58:02

Cody, it feels like they did snip extra things! Im in alot of pain right now. So much that the oxycotton they gave me isnt even touching it.

Kory, thanks for the prayers and the hard drive. Let me know if you can do anything with it.

Rachel, Ill look for your pictures. The surgery was good. It was hard for me coming out of the anethesia. Im not good at that. Its been 15+ years since Ive had to deal with it and hopefully I wont have anything else like this for a while.

Lucia, after the surgery I felt great and had no problem walking around. Then I started puking. I couldnt keep my nausea pills in me enough for them to work so I didnt take any medicine. This morning Im in excruciating pain and have taken my pain pills and Ibuprofen. I thought about your operation when I was puking. I hope you didnt have to do that.

Camille, the surgery went well, coming of anesthesia didnt. I really hate that feeling when you come out and look around. There were 2 nurses sitting next to my bed and I didnt know where I was. Very uncomfortable.

From Lucia on Fri, Oct 31, 2008 at 13:02:12

Ohhhh noooo! Poor Wall-e!!! I'm so sorry you're in pain! I'm sending happy pain-less vibes to you!

I came out of anesthesia in great shape - right after the accident though (days before the operation) they gave me 2 Percacid, and that made me puke and feel sick - another nurse told me that for my weight they should've given me 1/2 of a Percacid pill! Crazy!

Hang in there Wally! You will get out of this and come back strong!

From Teena on Fri, Oct 31, 2008 at 13:06:54

Walter --

I hope day two is much better for you.

How are you feeling now?

From walter on Fri, Oct 31, 2008 at 13:27:11

Lucia, it truely sucks to go through crap like this. Hopefully Ill be back on track and get this running back on track! Im still groggy from the pain pills but it freekin' hurts.

Tina, Im sore and drugged out a bit. I have to admit I was more nervous after you gave me the info of the anesthesiologist. I prepped my wife before and now she probably thinks I have some skeletons in my closet. She told me she didnt care about my past and i am the same way.

From Camille on Fri, Oct 31, 2008 at 13:32:18

Walter - I know that feeling (of waking up and not knowing where I am, and who these people are around me). Plus your head is hurting, and you feel dizzy. I faint, ALOT, and that's what it is like when I come to. It's not a good feeling at all, and I'm sorry that you had to experience it. I feel for you!

From montelepsy on Fri, Oct 31, 2008 at 13:37:12

Get well soon!

From Burt on Fri, Oct 31, 2008 at 13:43:52

I always thought my dad was the toughest man in the world. That's why when he was laid up so long after his hernia operation, it really shocked me. I didn't want to say anything to you 'til after your surgery, though. Good luck with getting better.

From Smooth on Fri, Oct 31, 2008 at 13:45:15

Walter --

Sorry you feel lousy. Pain pills (e.g. Percocet, Oxycontin, Percodan) sometimes make people really sick (nauseated). I find that skinny people takes less dosage than others. Ibruprofen might be all you need and it doesn't make you dizzy or drousy.

I don't know what kinda surgery you had. It's best if you could get up and get moving, the sooner, the better. Drink plenty of fluids to flush out the anesthetic in your system.

Best wishes for a speedy recovery. Sending happy thoughts your way!!!

From Cheryl on Fri, Oct 31, 2008 at 13:50:11

Yes, have a speedy recovery Walter. We'll be thinking of you and hope you'll get to feeling good soon.

From walter on Fri, Oct 31, 2008 at 13:55:06

Camille, yeah it doesnt take much for any type of drug to kick in quick with me. I just am mad that yesterday I felt great and no Im in so much pain. The anesthesia must have been linguring. I feel better as far as being able to keep things down now.

Mike, Thanks, I am glad I had it done and now I must heal fast!

From walter on Fri, Oct 31, 2008 at 13:58:05

Burt, I think if I do try and stay a little mobile, it will heal quicker and have less pain.

Smooth, Thanks for the nice words. I had a double hernia operation and hopefully Ill be back at it soon.

Cheryl, I appreciate that. You also must get better!

From jtshad on Fri, Oct 31, 2008 at 14:05:51

Hope today keeps improving for you. You need to eat, you skinny bugger! ;-)

I wish you a speedy recover and will keep you in my prayers.

From walter on Fri, Oct 31, 2008 at 14:10:28

Jeff Yeah, eat is what I plan on doing. I think gaining 10 pounds wouldnt hurt right? Its sad to say that right! Thanks for the prayers and Ill look forward to running with you some more.
