I need to make a new entry today. Even if it is endless nonsense. I did manage to get Twilight tickets tonight at 10:15 at the district. It wasnt easy, I think we barely managed to get them. Some people were getting them weeks in advance. I dont know how they did it.  It better be one dang good movie.

Don't believe the hype.

From Metcalf Running on Fri, Nov 21, 2008 at 11:11:27

I think if you are a girl between the ages of 12-25, you will think it is the best movie ever. If you are a girl between the ages of 25-35 you will think it was a pretty cool movie. If you are a boy between the ages of 16-25 you will go so that you can hit on all the cute girls that are at the movie. Other then that I don't know if you will like it.

I have not seen it But I'm planning on it this weekend, probably Sunday afternoon. So don't tell us about it yet LOL

From kungfublonde on Fri, Nov 21, 2008 at 11:13:51

I'm going tonight as part of a friend's birthday party. I'm kind of dreading the crowds and the mania over the cute vampire boys. This stuff just isn't my *thing.* But I can have fun just about anywhere, so I will make the best of it :)

From Michelle N. on Fri, Nov 21, 2008 at 14:14:37

I updated my pic to a wakeboarding one but it isn't nearly as cool as yours. My hubby doesn't take very good action shots.

From walter on Fri, Nov 21, 2008 at 18:18:32

Lori, Im going to support my girlies. I cant hit on young girls with my wife watching! lol

Rachel, try finding your vampire teeth and wear something vampirish. Take lots of pics and call me in the morning. lol

Michelle, Im going to look at them right now. Well not right now, I have to close this first.

From walter on Fri, Nov 21, 2008 at 18:19:23

Burt, Dont believe the hype is a sequel! I have to do the chick flick to get what I want if you know what I mean!?

From kungfublonde on Fri, Nov 21, 2008 at 18:22:03

you are terrible!!

I'll be wearing baggy pants, a lumpy turtleneck, and a knit cap. And clogs. Meow!

From walter on Fri, Nov 21, 2008 at 18:34:39

Grrrr, Ill be at the 10:15 show. It was the only time available. What the heck is so great about this movie? I remember the last time was when Harry Potter came out. We should get together and make a movie dont you think? You live in movie land and I may have good ideas.

From Burt on Fri, Nov 21, 2008 at 18:55:23

As a guy, I know exactly what you mean. I don't think the women do, so we'll just keep this as an inside joke, ay? (subtle laughter begins to build into a hearty(chuckle) ....mmmmm...leftover turkey sandwiches...

From walter on Fri, Nov 21, 2008 at 19:34:34

Burt, you are one sick puppy! I like it!

From kungfublonde on Fri, Nov 21, 2008 at 19:38:49

Walter- yes! You may have good ideas and I live in California! That is the recipe for success right there, my friend!

And Burt; huh?

From kungfublonde on Sat, Nov 22, 2008 at 01:23:20

Saw it. I think it might have been good. It was hard to tell over all that "smoldering good looks" distraction going on.

And that doesn't usually distract me- ask Mike :)

From montelepsy on Sat, Nov 22, 2008 at 01:31:46

It doesn't work at all. I still try my smoldering good look stare to get out of trouble, but to no avail. Maybe I should play dead instead.

From kungfublonde on Sat, Nov 22, 2008 at 01:43:44

it works to some extent Mike. The reason I never make sense in an argument is because I get all thrown off by your handsomeness. I actually have a really good point to make, but I lose my train of thought when you give me that "Edward the Vampire" stare.

From kungfublonde on Sat, Nov 22, 2008 at 01:46:59

but "playing dead" works for Penelope every time. It's difficult to stay mad at a pretend-comatose puppy.

From montelepsy on Sat, Nov 22, 2008 at 01:50:32

Okay, next time I'll wear a cape. Did Vampire Ed wear a cape? And I'll sing the Count song.

edit edit edit! Oh no- you can't post that on here!! blog police are gonna gettcha!!

From kungfublonde on Sat, Nov 22, 2008 at 01:52:50

I have no idea what he wore. I don't remember that part of him. Did you know he was played by Cedric from Harry Potter?

From montelepsy on Sat, Nov 22, 2008 at 01:57:56

There's nothing on there. Just beeps in strategic places. :)

From kungfublonde on Sat, Nov 22, 2008 at 01:59:53

um, I know, as I am the one who sent it to you in the first place! Just too much inuendo for this wholesome blog.

...wait, this is Walter's page. Nevermind :)

From montelepsy on Sat, Nov 22, 2008 at 13:51:03

What's your take on the Count Walter? Shall I remove it for decency's sake? Your blog, your call :)

From Kelli on Sat, Nov 22, 2008 at 15:35:13

I thought it was kind of funny!

Now, I gotta go see the movie so I can get in on all the talk!

From walter on Sat, Nov 22, 2008 at 17:49:05

Mike for heavens sakes no! You must keep it on here! We need to get burt and ernie back on there also! What in the world? Did Burt really get hit by a bus?

Kelly, I thought you already saw the movie? Ok whatever. (snapping my fingers and waving my hand side to side)

From Burt on Sat, Nov 22, 2008 at 17:52:54

My big come back in elementary school when people would ask me 'where Ernie was' was Bert's name is spelled with an 'E' and mine is with a 'U'. I was a bright kid.

From walter on Sat, Nov 22, 2008 at 17:57:18

Oops burt, thats the second time youve called me on my spelling? Thats just creepy. lol Ok Soory!

From Burt on Sat, Nov 22, 2008 at 17:59:52

and that's the second time in two days I've been called creepy on the blog. It won't be the last and certainly has happened many times outside of the blog. What is it about me?

From Kelli on Sat, Nov 22, 2008 at 18:31:56

Nope, I had to hurry and read the book so I could see the movie. Next week sometime!

From montelepsy on Mon, Nov 24, 2008 at 04:16:19

Hey creep,

Where's Urnie?

:)

From walter on Mon, Nov 24, 2008 at 09:25:14

Kelli, I think for a lower budget film they did an awesome job. I love Washington area and it was a good location.

Burt, Im sorry, your not a creep.

Mike your pushing it and I caught your spelling too.

From Burt on Mon, Nov 24, 2008 at 10:53:12

I am a creep because even though I see that Mike replaced the U with an E (ha ha) the first thing I see is that you switch two letters around and you get urine.

From Kelli on Mon, Nov 24, 2008 at 13:18:26

I wonder why it was low budget. Did they not realize what a blockbuster it would be???

From kungfublonde on Mon, Nov 24, 2008 at 13:21:17

I don't think they needed a big budget to tell that story. How much does white face paint cost??

And they made plenty of bank on it, so I bet they will really improve the special effects (running fast) for the next one.

From walter on Mon, Nov 24, 2008 at 19:29:06

Amen to that Rachel. It started out pretty corny but they got my attention soon after and made it worth my 8 bucks to watch it I guess.

Yeah, I agree, they will have some really cool affects on the next one if they havnt already shot it.

From walter on Mon, Nov 24, 2008 at 19:32:07

Kelli, I dont know if the author was too naive to shop around film crews or if she wanted it to be low key. She already has made a freakin fortune on her books.

From kungfublonde on Mon, Nov 24, 2008 at 19:33:03

$8 for a movie?? Wow! It's a lot more than that here. It's $10.50 just for the matinee!

From walter on Mon, Nov 24, 2008 at 19:43:44

Wow Rachel, you'd think it would be cheaper there! You have to put up with all those primadonnas walking the streets let alone have to pay more to see what they did on screen. Yuck!

From kungfublonde on Mon, Nov 24, 2008 at 19:47:18

Walter, you persist with the idea that I live on Hollywood Blvd. I keep telling you, I live in farm country. That was my daughter jumping over a bale of hay, remember? No primadonas here, just farmers. Farmers with bleached teeth and tanning salon memberships :)

(haha)

From walter on Mon, Nov 24, 2008 at 19:48:17

Wow, those sound like some fancy farmers! lol Your funny

From Kelli on Mon, Nov 24, 2008 at 20:06:32

Not only is it cheaper here, but we have reserved seating so you do not have to wait in any kind of line! You pick your seat out when you buy your ticket!! I LOVE IT!

What movies are coming out this weekend, I wonder? Isn't Thanksgiving usually a day the release some good ones???

From walter on Mon, Nov 24, 2008 at 20:13:27

I hate going during Thanksgiving! I hate Black Friday! But Im going because if I dont then I have to hear how unsupportive I am and yada yada yada for another whole year. Im telling you, Im going to make a scene this year! If I have to wake up at 4 freakin am to go shopping then things are going to happen! The only time I wake up at 4 am is to go line up for a bus to take me to a starting line of a marathon.

From Kelli on Mon, Nov 24, 2008 at 20:16:45

Scott actually likes Black Friday, but I do not let him come cause he spends too mcuh money. I am almost done with shopping, so I will not be out much, just a little. Scott and I just need a good movie this weekend!!!

From walter on Mon, Nov 24, 2008 at 20:52:05

Thats funny. I actually have been looking forward to it when my brother in law comes along. We form a chain so no one can push through to the good stuff. lol

From kungfublonde on Mon, Nov 24, 2008 at 23:57:39

I shop on line, or I go to stores on a Tuesday morning at 10. Anything to avoid a crowd.

From walter on Tue, Nov 25, 2008 at 00:44:50

I was the same way until my wife made the newspaper from being the first in line to target and when they opened the doors, people where pushing her into them. There is a great photo of her looking back at the shovers and yelling at them! Ill have to find it for you and put it on here. But now I have to protect her. I feel like wearing a firearm when I go up there. lol

From kungfublonde on Tue, Nov 25, 2008 at 00:50:18

Absolutely- You have to go with her! I have heard so many crazy stories about people getting into physical fights. Protect your wife!!

From walter on Tue, Nov 25, 2008 at 01:24:30

This was the article in the paper and it made the front page. Ill have to find the photo that came with it. I have to pay to have it, but it makes a very laughable photo. Not for her because her mom is being crushed into the glass door. Its the look on Mistys face as she's going balistic! Thats what make me want to go fight women. lol

What happens to women between the day of Thanksgiving and the day after?

So many mothers, sisters and daughters shed the sweet disposition that took extra care in preparing a feast off the cover of Gourmet Magazine to become overheated, over-competitive, blood-thirsty women taking extreme measures to claim the latest toy — oh, and make it cheap. It's as if the Monopoly box had real money in it or something.
