I had a fever last night so decided not to take anymore pain medicince. I took Tylenol to get my fever down and woke up around 3 am in extreme pain. I took an Ibuprophen 800 and was able to sleep again.  Due to the crappy weather, I was able to call off another day of concrete work. I will rest and try to get my fever down. I seem to be able to stand straight up now but with pain. I cant wait till I can start walking without pain. Then you know what will happen after that!   Cheers all!

I have a fever.... and the only prescription is MORE COWBELL!!!

:)

Sorry you're not feeling well still, Wall-e! Rest up and keep your spirits up and all will be well soon!

From walter on Wed, Nov 05, 2008 at 13:39:54

Lucia, you never stop amusing me! Thanks. I can hear the cowbell! Awesome! Now I give thee the double cowbell back at ya!

From wheakory on Wed, Nov 05, 2008 at 14:10:29

Just get some rest buddy and you'll be back on your feet in now time. It's hard to stay down when you know you have so much work to do.

From walter on Wed, Nov 05, 2008 at 15:30:29

thanks kory, Its hard to get that goal of being able to be normal when your feeling like crap.

From Kelli on Wed, Nov 05, 2008 at 17:35:01

JUST STAY IN BED ALL DAY!!!!

From walter on Wed, Nov 05, 2008 at 17:46:50

OK I WILL! Kelli, thanks for forcing me in bed. lol

From kungfublonde on Wed, Nov 05, 2008 at 18:08:17

ohmygosh I totally want to mail you a cow bell. Lucia cracked me up!

Take it easy and don't push yourself Walter. Rest up and get better!

From walter on Wed, Nov 05, 2008 at 19:03:49

Rachel, She is funny! I would gladly accept a real Californian Cowbell! I dont know what I can get you in return though!? Let me know.

From Ezra Schroeder on Wed, Nov 05, 2008 at 21:55:53

thanks so much for your comment! i hope you get better fast! i wish i could run as fast as you, and am sooo jealous of a lifetime heaviest of 143--the most i ever weighed was about an eyelash shy of 200 lbs (although not for very long).

From walter on Thu, Nov 06, 2008 at 00:37:40

I guess I should be lucky for that weight huh!? Your not too far off of a great time in the marathon. Stick with us and youll be amazed at what you can achieve. Good luck with your goals.

From Lucia on Thu, Nov 06, 2008 at 09:34:02

How tall are you Wall-e? My lifetime heaviest was 149 lbs (I'm almost 5'8" and big boned), and that was just a couple of weeks ago! Yes you are lucky to be naturally skinny. SO STOP COMPLAINING!!! :)

How are you feeling today, by the way? Better, I hope.

From walter on Thu, Nov 06, 2008 at 09:46:17

Im 5'11" tall. I have 4-5% body fat and the body of a 14 year old boy. lol Now that ive put on 10 pounds, it probably bumped my body fat up to 8% or so. We have snow on the ground now and Im still jealous of those running. You see, you need to have moments like this in your life for motivation.

From Lucia on Thu, Nov 06, 2008 at 09:50:55

Mannnn you are one skinny dude!!!

I agree that things like these give us motivation. To me, it's the weight loss since the accident that is going to keep me in line from now on.

From walter on Thu, Nov 06, 2008 at 10:08:45

Lucia, you should see my family! I am the only one in my family that is thin. Im the runt of my family, my brother is pushing 200, my other brother is around 180. My sisters are both 6 foot tall and I am the shortest in my family as well. My dad is around 6'2, mom is 6', brothers are 6', and 6'4", sisters are both 6'!

From Lucia on Thu, Nov 06, 2008 at 10:25:38

That is crazy! I am the shortest and fattest in my family, and the only one that exercises so much. My mom and sister are always trying to gain weight! - not fair! I'm also the only one with brown eyes, everyone else's are green. Sometimes I wonder if me and my adopted sister got switched when we were babies and I'm actually the adopted one!

From walter on Thu, Nov 06, 2008 at 12:56:46

Wow thats gotta be rare to have green eyes with dark complexion huh? I always got comments from school because my hair is dark brown and my eyes are blue. You are not fat Lucia! oh my good crap! Your not short either stop it already! I always thought I was adopted too! I would always think here it comes when my parents would ask to talk to me. I always told them thats it? I thought you were trying to tell me I was adopted. lol

From Michelle N. on Thu, Nov 06, 2008 at 13:01:56

Lucia, if it makes you feel better, I have the same prob. My 5 brothers are all around 6 foot and I am only 5'2" and got my dads squatty body. Go figure. Oh well. Short is good. I never had to worry about a boyfriend being shorter than me.

From Michelle N. on Thu, Nov 06, 2008 at 13:02:33

BTW Walter, hope you feel better soon:)

From walter on Thu, Nov 06, 2008 at 13:23:09

Michelle, quit it already! you have a great body! Trust me I wish I had your abs right now! I feel 30 years older than I should be right now. And miss running with ya too! By the way, I snuck a peek at your photos from SGM! Wow, we were a wet bunch of people huh! lol

From Michelle N. on Thu, Nov 06, 2008 at 13:27:10

I told you! They are so bad. My hair was EVERYWHERE. TOILET BRUSH I tell you. There was one good picture but I was looking down. My Hobblecreek ones are better, maybe I'll buy one and put it on here.

From walter on Thu, Nov 06, 2008 at 13:37:47

Oh definitely you should. I already got crap from you I believe when I put my out of control hair pic on here. It scarred me for life! I have haunting voices in my head of Michelle saying hey alfalfa, looking good! And no its not from the drugs. lol

From Michelle N. on Thu, Nov 06, 2008 at 13:43:32

You sooooo funny! You did look like Alfalfa though.

From walter on Thu, Nov 06, 2008 at 13:48:32

I just hope not to hear the theme song played anytime soon! lol So it looks like I came from a cow licking me! I dont care! Just as long as i dont have crap running down my leg right!? Ill try to get this photo posted for your viewing pleasure.

From Michelle N. on Thu, Nov 06, 2008 at 13:53:31

LOL, VERY LOUD!!! I hope not see crap running down your leg either!

From Michelle N. on Thu, Nov 06, 2008 at 13:55:33

Wow, I was a little retarded while I wrote that. Let me try again. I hope not to see crap running down your leg either. (BIG sigh)

From walter on Thu, Nov 06, 2008 at 13:58:37

Hair can be completely out of control! Maybe a little bugger coming out of my nose a bit, but for the love of all that is decent and holy no poop!

From Michelle N. on Thu, Nov 06, 2008 at 14:02:13

You have me rolling hysterically! Every time I get pictures back from a race, I think, RETAKES:) No boogers, no poop but just hammered, agony, tired look. Not real attractive.

From walter on Thu, Nov 06, 2008 at 14:04:58

I was fearing the wet t-shirt look coming in also! Not for myself of coarse, but you are well endowed! lol Im glad you guys chose the running outfits and not the white t-shirt. Wait, what the heck am I saying here. Ill stop!

From Michelle N. on Thu, Nov 06, 2008 at 14:07:06

Yes Walter, the Oxycotin is talking a little too much:) Wait, I think that was just Walter talking.

From walter on Thu, Nov 06, 2008 at 17:03:57

It was me, wait till the oxycontin is in effect! I wont be able to type thank goodness.

From Lucia on Thu, Nov 06, 2008 at 17:09:02

Oh, I know I'm tall - I always wished I was shorter so the dating pool would be larger LOL!!! I didn't say I was fat either, just my mom and sisters are super skinny... ok, maybe I think I'm a little fat, but not that bad...

Walter, you're always walking on eggshells here! You're so going to get us in trouble!

From walter on Thu, Nov 06, 2008 at 17:15:54

I know luce, I always seem to wander in my blogs huh? I think i may have A.D.D.!? Say that reminds me I went to my parent teacher conference and they told me that they thought my daughter had add and told me that it was passed on genetically by her father. I left very confused. Speaking of confused, did I tell you that I was at a parent teacher conference and they told me my daughter had a.d.d and was passed genetically by her father. I tell you what I just had nothing to say to her! See ya gal!

From Kelli on Thu, Nov 06, 2008 at 17:18:48

You are funny.

From walter on Thu, Nov 06, 2008 at 17:22:07

Hey Kelli, Ill have to tell you about my parent teacher conference I went too...

From Kelli on Thu, Nov 06, 2008 at 17:22:58

Hey, Walter, you were going to tell me about parent teacher conferences?!?

From walter on Thu, Nov 06, 2008 at 17:46:46

So Im sitting in these tiny little table and tiny little chairs and my daughters teacher tells me that she believes my daughter to have ADD, that it is passed genetically by the fathers side (of course!) and something else, but i cant really remember cause I was staring out the window. so can you believe that?

From Lucia on Thu, Nov 06, 2008 at 17:49:34

It's just so awesome we can blame our parents for everything! All the bad stuff I have is from my parents. All the good stuff about me is just mine... all mine :)

Wall-e = Homer Simpson!

From walter on Thu, Nov 06, 2008 at 17:53:19

Dough! Stop it!

From Kelli on Thu, Nov 06, 2008 at 18:14:50

And you were staring out the window??

You know what? As a former teacher, that is absolutely 100% illegal for her to tell you your child has ADD. Not acceptable.

From walter on Thu, Nov 06, 2008 at 18:25:50

Kelli, Im kidding! please try to see my humor! read it carefully. I dont have add or at least I dont think I do. Its my weird sense of humor.

From Kelli on Fri, Nov 07, 2008 at 15:07:47

Well, I got that you were joking around, but I thought maybe the scenario still happened!!

I think you do have ADD!

From walter on Fri, Nov 07, 2008 at 15:23:59

What in the world are you talking about?

Just kiddin, I do have add! Only while Im running though.
