I am in some major pain this morning. I hurt my back yesterday using a jack hammer on some concrete from my house that I had to remove for the fence guy.  It hurts to lift my leg, bend over, sit, lay, pretty much everything. The pain is so bad that it feels like its even in my hip. Im falling apart! Ive also got a broken toe.

Get better soon, sorry to hear about the injury. I hope it isn't too bad! It sucks getting old!

From montelepsy on Mon, Oct 20, 2008 at 11:52:15

At least you did it in a macho way. I once threw my back out coloring.

Once Mike threw out his back immitating Yoda in the light saber fight. It was amazing. And then it was really sad.

He hurts himself doing cool stuff, too. But the "Dance Dance Revolution"-type injuries make better stories :)

From walter on Mon, Oct 20, 2008 at 13:21:07

Thanks Jeff, it does suck!

Mike, come on now, Coloring? lol

Rachel, I think it would have been funnier to me if I threw my back out win a Yoda fight. lol Or the 80's dance mix. The worst part of it is my pride because my wife had to come lift the jack hammer out of the hole for me.

OUCH dude. Hopefully its just out of alignment and easily fixed. How did you break your toe??

From walter on Mon, Oct 20, 2008 at 13:27:49

I was drilling into a concrete wall with a hammer drill and it caught rebar and twisted out of my hands and slammed my toe. It has been a bad week for me.

Ouch man that had to hurt. I just noticed that on the SGM website your picture was up. Right on man. 2:40 is very nice.

From Michelle N. on Mon, Oct 20, 2008 at 13:59:27

Oh come on Walter, that doesn't sound nearly as serious as my bra chafing from last month:) Hope you feel better and can run tomorrow with us.

From walter on Mon, Oct 20, 2008 at 13:59:37

That was a difficult race! I do better in cold climates but not with wind! Everytime I tried to go away from the pack, I suffered. Then when we hit into town the wind seamed to soften up enough to speed up. It felt good then, but didnt have enough to bring my time down under 2:40 like I wanted.

From walter on Mon, Oct 20, 2008 at 14:16:38

I was going to run with you this morning but felt like I got hit by a car all over again when I woke up. If I run with you tommorrow, you may have to carry me.

From Michelle N. on Mon, Oct 20, 2008 at 14:28:29

I will piggy back ya. I don't think that would be possible. You are so tall your legs would still hit the ground with my whopping 5'2" stature.

From walter on Mon, Oct 20, 2008 at 14:44:30

Ill hold my legs up ok?

From walter on Mon, Oct 20, 2008 at 14:45:09

Its just as good as the bungy cord run that Sasha has.

From montelepsy on Mon, Oct 20, 2008 at 14:54:06

True story. When Amanda was little, she was coloring while sitting at her little desk. I colored with her too, but I was sitting on a normal size chair so I had to bend over. It was all good until I decided to stand up.

From walter on Mon, Oct 20, 2008 at 15:08:18

Oh mike, why do we pay for little stupid things like that is beyond me!? I guess messing around with a jack hammer isnt such a bad story after all huh? lol
