GO UTES! wow what a great game that was last night! Im sorry if your a Y fan right now but you had the chance to put TCU away, actually you didnt but next time hopefully you will. We did it, We did it in style and it wasnt pretty, but we got it done, and they will now fall out of the ranks and the utes will go undefeated and it just makes that blue and red game in a couple of saturdays that much better. By the way I will go even if i still cant stand! I will get special permission for a hospital bed if I  have to! lol  As for that provo team down there, they better start stepping it up because there will be blood! Blue blood! lol  The Utes are going to make you bleed your own blood!  yeah!

Nobody makes me bleed my own blood!!

So is this some kind of a sports thing? Go your team! I'm super not into sports. Although Madeline found a magazine article about "eXtreme ironing" (no joke), and I'd be into that.

From walter on Fri, Nov 07, 2008 at 01:16:16

Sorry Rachel, the utes are the University of Utah and they are ranked #10 in the BCS this year and are undefeated and they have beat some very good teams this year. They played TCU from Texas tonight and beat them 13-10 and it was a nailbiter! I love to watch football and have always gotten tickets to the Ute games and enjoy going except tonight I couldnt bear to sit or stand so I gave my tickets away. Bummer. So are you recovering well so far from your spill? I have found a few people on here that are injured right now. Cheryl is one, Lucia is one, I think Jill is one but she isnt responding to my posts for a while. and Lybi is trying to recover. And Mckenzie who is a fast runner that has had a pelvis fracture that is bugging her since May I believe is now going to totally stop for 4 weeks. So I have me list of people to relate too right now!

From Lucia on Fri, Nov 07, 2008 at 09:53:44

Go Utes!!!

Yeah, weird how so many of us are injured!

Hey, at least this didn't happen to us: http://ap.google.com/article/ALeqM5ieCBemBbV0IeKPZg_SScPTs6wjHAD948VDVG0

Lori

From walter on Fri, Nov 07, 2008 at 13:08:28

Lori, I wished I could have been there or even seen it on tv, but they had a black out on it so it was the old sit in front of a radio and yell at the wall.

Lucia, You cant send articles that make me laugh right now. It really truely hurts. I cant sneeze, cough, laugh or poop without pain right now. Sorry for the poop part but its true and I just couldnt leave that out.

From Kelli on Fri, Nov 07, 2008 at 16:00:31

Funny article, Lucia!!

I so could care less about FOOTBALL!!!! I graduated from the U, but that is why I always hope they lose. HATE that place. Do not like BYU either. Football is LAME!

From Lucia on Fri, Nov 07, 2008 at 16:02:58

Wall-e, i went on a date the other day with a guy who just had hernia surgery - between me with my braces and broken jaw and him with his hernia, we were both in pain when we laughed, so we stuck to talking about sad things - what a great date!

Pooping is part of life - I don't know why it's such a taboo :)

Now, come on Kelli, I can say that about football being foreign and all, but be careful in saying things you can't take back!

From walter on Fri, Nov 07, 2008 at 16:08:49

What an interesting date Luce! Oh my! What a bunch of gimps out there trying to have a normal date and then he says, lets take things a little more unhappy for a bit till I heal ok? Dont make me laugh! Or sneeze, or cough. lol

Very funny Lucia!

From walter on Fri, Nov 07, 2008 at 16:12:08

Oh my gosh Kelli! whats with the debbie downer attitude? cheer up! Football is not so bad my friend. I take misty to the Broncos game in Colorado once a year and I dont think she likes it either but humors me! She always says why are you yelling? The refs arent going to change their decision because they heard you yelling!?

From Kelli on Fri, Nov 07, 2008 at 16:42:42

I really do HATE football. If a person could just watch the game without screaming and yelling and standing up, I might change my mind, but I doubt it. My dad took me to all of the BYU games growing up because I am his only child who even remotely likes sports. It was okay, but I just never really liked it too much.

THEN I married Scott and he is a sports FREAK, especially college football. The TV was always blaring and he was yelling at it all of the time. I grew to hate the sport. HATE IT!!! After 16 years, he has learned to chill out or ELSE (I turn it off, I am mean).

That being said, my boys are bing raised on football, two already play flag football and I never missed a game, and one day I am sure I will be a football mom on top of a soccer mom. UNTIL that day, I HATE FOOTBALL!!!

I am no Debbie Downer, i am in a GOOD MOOD TODAY! i just do not like football.

But you can feel free to enjoy it all you want!!

From walter on Fri, Nov 07, 2008 at 16:45:46

So make Scott do things you like and you can both humor each other! lol

From Kelli on Fri, Nov 07, 2008 at 16:50:39

Hmmmm, what do I like?? Nothing. I am a big Scrooge. KIDDING! I like shopping, just not spending money. Scott likes spending money, just not shopping!

I LOVE basketball and we are both Lakers fans (that is the one thing we have always had in common). I love soccer, rugby, and volleyball. I just do not like football, that is all. Am I un-Amercian????

And, for the record, if Scott would take me out of town to a NFL or Collegiate football game, I WOULD go!

From walter on Fri, Nov 07, 2008 at 16:56:26

Yeah, I'm glad my wife isn't into ballet or opera! whew! I know your not a Debbie downer, I just like pushing your buttons! Its not hard to push mine right now, remember, im 2 weeks without running, and at least 3 to go! I'm the honery poop! not you.

From Lucia on Fri, Nov 07, 2008 at 16:59:20

My ex's family were all HUGE 49ers fans - my first Sunday with my in-laws we all went to a 49ers game. Then we came home and they had recorded the game, so we watched it on TV - THEN they watched more tapes from some 80's games, when the 49ers were good!!!!! Does that make you feel better, Kelli? :)

From walter on Fri, Nov 07, 2008 at 17:02:34

Thats funny! Im not that extreme. Sometimes my wife has to remind me that Im not the team manager or even owner so I can miss a game. lol

From Kelli on Fri, Nov 07, 2008 at 17:02:46

Yes, Lucia, I never had it that bad! I do not get why men (and some women) like to watch games from 20 years ago when they know the outcome!! My husband can see a clip from a game (any sport pretty much) and he remembers which game it was, where he was, and how old he was (many times only like 8 years old!!!) Freak of nature.

Walter, my world is a button right now. I am generally ticked at the world. KIDDING---I am happy. I have lots of candy at my house, it does not get better than that!

From walter on Fri, Nov 07, 2008 at 17:09:04

Scott is a sports enthusiast! Its normal behavior Kelli, just like quoting movies. You remember how old you were when you saw it and things like that. I think I figured out why you pull out good times in your races, all that built up aggression. lol kidding aside, when I was running with Scott he mentioned a date night and I dont no now if he meant me or if I should bring my wife. lol jk When I can sit without pain, I estimate by next weekend, I say we do it. Even if its game night or something like that. Ask him if he knows Marvin Hendrikson. Im doing a house for him right now and he has ties with the Utah Highway Patrol. He actually was down at the sgm in a helicopter you guys had down there.

From Kelli on Fri, Nov 07, 2008 at 17:13:51

We are free next weekend---so far! We are really popular so you have to book us in advance though!!! Kidding, of course.

Built up aggression, huh?? I would agree. My runs are so slow and I struggle, but I can go much faster in a race for some reason. It is me wanting to kick the pants off of Scott, that is all! Love the guy, just hate football. The poor guy, after 16 years of marriage, now asks permission to watch football. My reply is that he can if he will turn it down and if I can turn it off the first time he yells at the TV. I am a MEANIE!!!! Wait until I have 4 of them watching it, then I will give in and just take my daughters shopping!!!!!

From walter on Fri, Nov 07, 2008 at 17:56:55

Sounds like I need to get poor Scott over here to watch his football! Quit being mean! lol He probably feels right at home on thanksgiving with back to back games on huh? Ill let you know if I cant do a date night next weekend. I am so sore right now. I have to be able to sit for longer periods. I wore Levis today and its keeping my guts pushed in well. lol

WE are watching football right now, just so you know (but he is mopping at the same time---fair trade).

From walter on Sat, Nov 08, 2008 at 16:02:34
