I set out into the brisk morning air to run with my brand new Garmin 310 watch that Santa brought me for Christmas.  There was a wind blowing from the south and a bit brisk when I faced south. I made it to mile 4 and saw another runner coming the opposite direction and he was getting attacked by a miniature Pincher dog. That dog was ruthless! It wouldnt leave him alone until he saw me running up to him to help him and it came for me and I ran straight at it and did a false charge as far as I could and luckily it turned and ran away. I then kept running and it turned back on me. I reached down and grabbed a hard clump of snow and ran at it and threw the snowball at it and barely missed it but it got the hint that I meant business so it left me alone. I ran a 7:09 minute pace for 10 miles and my total time was 1:11. I really like this new watch. It vibrates every mile and i can feel it unlike the beeps from my last watch. I could never hear it.

I went up to the gate at Millcreek Canyon with the family and we snow shoe'd  up  2 miles and back 2. It was fun and holy crap there were a ton of people out there. The parking lot was packed and I admit watching those skate skiers and cross country skiers looked fun.

Good job out there today. Cross country skiing can be very relaxing once you get the hang of it. I'm probably not as coordinated as most people so it took a bit for me. I'd rather go boarding though :)

Ericka, I cant believe I havnt gotten involved in it. We were keeping up to alot of them with our snow shoes going up hill. some of them made it look so easy and some you could tell were so frustrated. Im with you Id rather take the ski lift up myself. haha but honestly id like getting a pair and trying them out. Now im off to check out your blog.
