I ran 7.50 miles this morning without stopping. I did a 7.08 average. I ran and ran and ran. Thats all I got to say about that.

I ran this evening at 8:30 and it was still hot!  I did another 7.51 miles with some tempo speed of 5:50 to 6 minutes for a mile.  My average was 6:30 and I ran in 48:48.   My last half mile was a 2:43 which is a 5:22 mile.  Ive got to get that down to 5 even if  im going to show my face around at races.

You just felt like running, ha?

7:08 average. Wow. Nice job.

From Walter on Mon, Jul 14, 2008 at 10:25:52

Yup, some days are better than others right? lol I still need to find a friend named trick. Can I borrow yours?

From Lucia on Mon, Jul 14, 2008 at 14:49:13

hahaha - just pick a friend named Patrick and tell him you will from now on call him Trick; that's what I did! Girls named Patricia have lots of nicknames to choose from: Patty, Tricia, Pat... Guys are no longer stuck with Pat - they now can be nicknamed Trick!

Dang, you are just the comedian this morning! First the slams on my blog, now the Forrest Gump howdy-do...gotta like the fun-lovin' spirit on a Monday morning.

From Walter on Mon, Jul 14, 2008 at 15:43:24

Lucia, Ok so find a patrick and ask him to be my freind and get him running and then spring it on him that his new name is trick. Sounds like quite the process i think id rather borrow yours

Jeff im not hung over like you so HAPPY BIRTHDAY! lol (I was yelling)

Yeah, you slacker...don't even show up unless you can run faster than that! ;-)

You have been a hoot the last couple of days on the blog...maybe you have been doing too many clockwise runs and that counterclockwise run today will calm you down!

From walter on Tue, Jul 15, 2008 at 20:42:20

Hey Jeff, It was all that 5 hour energy ive been taking! And yes the counterclockwise run did calm me down. In fact ive sort of crashed.

From ranman on Fri, Jul 18, 2008 at 18:41:34

Thanks for the encouragement. I'm sure I could do a lot better if I just put more effort in it. I did a 3:46 in Chicago in 2001 on a 45 mile week. I have never ran over 45 miles in a week, so i'm sure some tempo runs, and adding more mileage would help a lot.
