Easy 10 miler at the Revolution Run with Kimi (who actually did 15) at the Olympic Oval to start the year off right. Had a fun time.

Had thought of going out to Antelope Island for the long run but ended up sleeping in a bit and going out with Kimi close to home at about 8am. Kim stuck with me for the first half of the run then I soloed it the rest of the way. Just took it nice and easy, plenty of walk breaks including most the uphills. Felt pretty good. I did a LOT of hills during this run, hope it helps prepare me for the 50 miler adequately since I did quite a bit of running on asphalt today instead of dirt trails.

Another early morning run in the bright full moonlight. Some miles with Kim, some solo, and some with the gang. Did 3 or 4 hill repeats.

The first of back to back long runs on a quiet, foggy but not too chilly morning. This is the shorter of the back-to-backs, plan is for 18 tomorrow.

Long run part 2 went pretty well. Started out with the gang then some with Ken K then some solo miles. Bummed that Kim had to bail out early with a problemsome knee.

Waited to run until later in the morning after the sun came out. Good decision. Had a very nice run in the sun with Kimi even though I couldn't keep up with her.

Got out bright & early at 6am with Kimi. We started out with Tyler Shepherd and his gang of trail runners and ran with them a while, mostly on the high canal road. Then Kim and I got a few together until about 11 or 12 miles. Then it was solo for me the last half of the run. Was able to run mostly on dirt roads/trails this run with a few decent hills. Felt like this was my best Buffalo run training run so far, although the thought of going more than twice this far is still daunting. Actually felt my best and some of the faster miles were the last 4 or 5. Ended up with just over 24 miles for the day and 51 for the week. Now just want to eat and sleep through the rest of the day.

Nice easy 10 miler in the earlier morning, just over half with Kimi. Felt good today, hope it holds out through my planned 18 miler tomorrow

The 2nd of my back-to-back longer runs went pretty well. I'm slow as molassas but starting to enjoy these long runs and the relaxed pace with as many walking breaks as I want :-).
